Dude, I've stopped even trying to play Sektor online. I guess it's just me, I've seen a lot of great Sektor players online, but eh...not a fan of him online and I've somewhat stopped bothering attempting to get better with him. I've just dropped one too many JIK TUs online.Only time i get salty is when i try to use sektors exTU wake up only for it to burn the bar and the attack never happens. This is happening to me more and more online.
THIS THIS THISI didn't buy a game for my home console, To have to pay to travel everyday to play it.
Hmm, I've taking to zoning with Kitty when I'm facing Jax. Its just because I feel like he wrecks her up close.Scratch my last post, I get salty when I lose to a kitana as jax who does nothing but iafs all round and then babalitys me. Fuck Kitana altogether, I'd rather lose to someone who does nothing but low hats as kung lao.
CT 300 I actually liked. Decent challenge. But ya 256 was annoying as all fuck. I don't remember if thats the one with 3 shao khans or not, but its either that or the one where you're Tsung and you face Baraka, Mileena then Khan. Such a bitch, and Tsang seemed really outmatched. Althogh its likely I just suck at using him.Challenge Tower. At 300 and 256 I was grinding my teeth and twisting the controller in pure anger. Online It's not that bad, I mean, if I lose to something ridicoulos I don't really mind it because the next time I'll be prepared for it. But I do make people salty with leaving during fatality.
Ya i thought part of the battle was trying to make sure you're not getting read!If they don't do stuff that you expect why does that make them bad? lol "unpredictable".
This ^I only get salty when I input commands and the command I inputted doesnt come out. Like ill go for a reptile dash and he just punches the air stupidly. Or when its impossible to react or do anything about constant jump ins because of the input lag. Or when im playing scorpion and i go for his F2,1 teleport to safe jump and it doesnt see that i pressed forward and it does fucking 2,1 teleport which doesnt link and i get blocked in punished. I cant help but yell out "I WAS FUCKING HOLDING FORWARD DAMNIT!!!!" Yeah....I get pretty salty online. Never offline though. I have no problems there
Also, I occasionally get salty at myself when I use Mileena cuz shes so damn cheap. I just mutter to myself "Jesus christ this character is so cheap" as I do B3~Enhanced Roll for the quick low to overhead into 30% ish and then just teleport to get advantage enough to do the same shit again.....god that character is so cheap...
Also, I hate the inconsistency of the invincibility frames on wakeup attacks. Sometimes I get smacked right out of a raiden wake up superman or a subzero wake up slide like its nothing. But dont worry, it only happens when the ENTIRE match depends on it....ugh i need to lower my sodium levels...
Hmm, I tend to use TOTAL number of matches to find someone of approximately the same skill. Lacky any other meaningful way (the TYM doesn't seem to be there most of the times i'm on), I don't really have many other options.they are scrubs anyway when they dont challenge u because of ur w/l ratio
I dunno, the whole marijuana activated thing had me rolling.AM I ONE OF THE BEST POSTERS RIGHT NOW TOO?
DO MY HILARIOUS FONT ANTICS ENTERTAIN YOU DESPITE THE FACT THAT I DON'T ACTUALLY SAY ANYTHING HUMOROUS?
Lag and delay are certainly factors inside the MK9 community because of the bad netcode. Regardless of these things, people are clearly bad if they just do the same move over and over regardless of constant punishment. Are the person losing to this opponent bad if they lose to it? Not necessarily. People have bad days, its a given since your human. Everyone make mistakes. Losing to the person once or twice out of like 10 games is not necessarily their fault. There are many things that factor into it. If you know youre skill level is way above the other person, but you lose to them because of a few costly mistakes, that doesnt make you worst than them, it just means you made a few costly mistakes that costed you the game. You cannot say people are retarded or arrogant to believe they are better than the opponent when it is clear that they are. As for the people who are losing to randomness, thats also a factor. If your losing to the randomness, thats youre fault, yeah, if your losing constantly... though. If you lose once or twice, again, that doesnt make them better than you. I agree if you lose, you have to accept it and analyze the reasoning behind the lost, but that doesnt mean you should have lost.A lot of people seem to say they get upset when they lose to a worse player. The only way this could happen is because of lag or delay.
Even though it's online casuals, if someone beats you, how can you say you're better than them? I'm the first to admit you can't determine who's better by online play... but to say the guy who beat you is worse than you is arrogant and just plain retarded. Just because they do something random, unsafe, 'off the wall', "stupid", etc... that doesn't mean they're bad. In fact, if they did something that you'd expect, couldn't you already have planned a counter to this? You have to expect anything and everything that's possible in the given match-up. If a guy you're playing is just doing whatever and playing really random, you can't just play the same as you usually do. You have to adapt to his random style. How do you do this, you ask? Be more cautious, dash block more, play it safe, use good fundamentals, etc. It's just like playing a bunch of fish in Poker. You don't try and bluff them or make big plays, you just play fundamentally sound poker and play it safe. The thing in fighters though, is that there's no 'one size fits all' strategy here. You have to adapt to your opponent even if your opponent is not the best player out there.
I'm definitely not liking the mentality I'm seeing lately. You guys need to severely lower your ego's. And stop thinking that bad players are beating you because they're playing "random". Accept the loss and analyze why you loss. "Because he's bad and was playing random", is not a reason.
I lol'd.i will always remember that day as the day i got kicked out of the house because of raging because of a video game....... memories
This....Ive lost many a match babality hunting lolHere's a new one:
When I lose to a clearly inferior player because I want to pull a babality on Raiden.
It's my fault but I still get salty lol.
Best post on the internet, and I dont even play offlineXD I hate people who say they lost to a Sindel "Spammer" ITS WHAT SHE WAS MADE FOR XDA lot of people seem to say they get upset when they lose to a worse player. The only way this could happen is because of lag or delay.

This post reminds me of my worst lost ever. I once lost to a Sub Zero player who did nothing but uppercut everytime I got near him like we were playing MK2 instead of MK9. I usually would find an answer to this type of play but unfortuantely my 360 controller broke right in the middle of the match after I had won the 2nd round almost flawlessly after I had adapted to this play style.A lot of people seem to say they get upset when they lose to a worse player. The only way this could happen is because of lag or delay.

If you get a character made for spamming, you are still a spammer. Don't use her then.Best post on the internet, and I dont even play offlineXD I hate people who say they lost to a Sindel "Spammer" ITS WHAT SHE WAS MADE FOR XD
They are a factor in every fighter online, unless the netcode is GGPO.Lag and delay are certainly factors inside the MK9 community because of the bad netcode.
That's not entirely true.Regardless of these things, people are clearly bad if they just do the same move over and over regardless of constant punishment.
Yeah people have "bad days", but to use that as an excuse is a cop out. And losing to anyone despite lag or delay is no one's fault but your own. Making a mistake doesn't mean your opponent is bad and just lucky cause you made a mistake. That's shifting the responsibility from yourself and attributing it to him getting lucky. You just made a mistake, that's it.Are the person losing to this opponent bad if they lose to it? Not necessarily. People have bad days, its a given since your human. Everyone make mistakes. See, you keep doing what a lot of online players do. Stop saying "I'm better" or "He's better". That's irrelevant online, and it cannot be determined through online play. If you lose to someone online, it doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean you're better, it doesn't mean he's better. Even if you win 100-0 online, it doesn't mean you're better. For more on this, check out this thread on this very subject -> http://testyourmight.com/forum/showthread.php?5954-Tips-on-becoming-a-better-player-Part-2-Online-vs-Offline-TournamentsThere are many things that factor into it. Again, read above. Rid yourself of the "I'm better than you for winning" mentality regarding online casuals. As for the people who are losing to randomness, thats also a factor. So youre saying that a Scorpion that just sits there in one spot and throws a spear every single time no matter if the opponent blocks, jumps past it, and then punishes, is not bad? You and I have a different definition of noob here. That's not entirely true.
No I am not saying thats an excuse. Its just facts. If youre beating someone all the time and you slip up and make a mistake, that doesn't mean you arent better than them. I beat my friends almost every time (offline play) and I occasionally make a bad mistake that costed me the game. Does that mean I am not as good as him? Not at all. Does it mean I made a mistake that cost me the game? Sure. I admit that. But admitting that doesnt mean youre saying youre not better than him, because you are. Learning from your mistakes is a good thing, no doubt.Yeah people have "bad days", but to use that as an excuse is a cop out. And losing to anyone despite lag or delay is no one's fault but your own. Making a mistake doesn't mean your opponent is bad and just lucky cause you made a mistake. That's shifting the responsibility from yourself and attributing it to him getting lucky. I am an online player, since there really isnt an offline scene where I am. It can be determined with online play just as much as offline. The netcode is seriously not as bad as some of you may think anymore. If I get beat flawlessly because the person is making good reads and doing everything perfect, I'm going with thinking he is better than me, online or not. I hate the dumbass mentality that people keep saying ONLINE DOESNT MATTER. Most of the MK community is playing this game online. Only a small few percent of you are tournament/offline players. Just because we play by a different standard than you tournament offline players are, doesnt mean you should be saying things like that. If I win 100 games to 0 online against a single person, I am willing to say I am better than them, online or not. Offline is not going to make a difference if the skill level is that far apart. I honestly dont see much of a difference between the new online and offline. Theres rarely any lag for me anymore and honestly, I couldn't care less.See, you keep doing what a lot of online players do. Stop saying "I'm better" or "He's better". That's irrelevant online, and it cannot be determined through online play. If you lose to someone online, it doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean you're better, it doesn't mean he's better. Dont push youre own mentality and beliefs on other people. Its a game. When you turn off the game system, no one really cares... If you dont believe in the 'skill level mentality', that doesnt give you the right to call someone else who does believe in it arrogant. Thats ignorance on your part. And no, I dont plan on reading the article, because I dont care... I know I am better than said opponent, and if I can back it up by winning constantly, then statistically, I am better. Mentality is a way of thinking, as is beliefs. Dont throw youre beliefs onto others, while calling them arrogant or ignorant if they dont agree with your mentality. Am I arrogant? I dont think so, but Im sure many would say I am, but arrogance is part of the game. Fighting in the end to judge who is the better fighter (in most cases), thats why there can only be one winner. Now convert fighting in real life to a fighting game. Same rules apply. There can only be one winner, and most of the time, its the better fighter who comes out victorious.Again, read above. Rid yourself of the "I'm better than you for winning" mentality regarding online casuals.
