So many different values to why I could be boring

One of main reason could be the char you at I dropped from my main because he bored me lol

I remember getting bored with Injustice. Then I found Doomsday. Bored never again. You'll just have to find that char. Wait for Tremor. He's gonna be boss.

I haven't done true crack sessions of 12+ hours since the MKA days lol.

I really enjoy MKX, just life and a dead PS4 is making it hard to play. Doesn't feel boring to me at all.
This is a big thing about gaming a lot of people forget about. It is easy to look back at a game you played over 10 years ago, or way longer in my case and say it doesn't give you the same feeling... cause you know.. I'm no longer a kid. I have my own kids even. I'm not only just a different person, and everyone changes.. but I'm also a grown up now.

When we are kids we feel stronger about things. I mean look at how seriously a kid takes all that bullshit relationship stuff that happens at school and anyone only a few years latter just can not believe what a colossal waste of emotion that was.

"just life".. it is so true. Growing up in a thing. Are cartoons worse now than Astro Boy, Robotech and Superfriends... or am I just not a kid anymore and while I still have a strong spot for cartoons, none of them will ever be as good to me as those ones I used to run home from school for.

Anyone ever notice that no MK game is as good as MK2?

Oh damn, I forgot this site is only about tournament players. And who exactly the fuck are you?
A person that travels and puts actual effort in trying to fully understand MKX. And yes the site is mainly for people who are above casual-level for MKX. People won't go to tournaments because they'll be exposed. Why would you read about any of this shit if you don't care about MKX.

Hey scrubs, try playing at the highest level. That should do the trick. There is no flowchart unless you're whoring around with so many characters you only pick up a vague understanding of the character. Your mommy and daddy bringing you into this world was a lot more flowchart than mkx sz. Remember that.
idk about using the word flowchart but definitely this game has the quickest to learn characters. wonderchef won that tourney with like 8 characters back when mkx was like only 2 weeks old. djt and mit play a collection of characters too and especially reo. I myself from personal experience felt like I could pick up any character really fast to the point where I once found myself playing random select online

As long as I play against good competition or people thats better then me im never bored. Also the fact that they add new dlc characters and skin packs make it even more fun. Koh with people that talk shit is the best though

Idk back in MK9 i mained Lao lol, subz, reptile, jc and pretty much knew how to use 70% of the cast at a decent level but never got bored of felt like it was repetitive.

MKX is fun, I'm already beating solid players with my week one Kenshi lol... He is fun and all. I know at least 6 chars and do well online but there's just something missing idk what its.

Maybe i will try mid-low tier chars.

The only way this game would get boring is when you use your character in the most optimal way possible and never try new things because the optimal things work best.

I hit this with reptile and all I was doing was 50-50ing and fishing for the same most damaging combo starting from his 8 frame mid. Then I realized
and I started to use other crap like trying to keep people in the ex acid puddle as long as possible, consuming absurd ammount of meter for retarted setups that if a pro player would do he would be burned at the stake in the parking lot.

But, it is fun. And you can't play to win and play for fun at the same time, unless actually winning is what is fun for you, but if that's true, you can't get bored so it's ok.

I don't actually play these games

What you're basically saying is part of the reason many adults stop enjoying games as much as they used too. It's harder to keep your attention as an adult than as a kid. Kids are easy to keep entertained. A lot of the games I wasted my life when I was a kid with a nigh drug fuled addiction bore me to shit now. Some of those games I sunk hours into weren't even good at the time.

But just for the record, I actually disliked more and more MK2 the older I got, to where now looking at it gives me aneurysms.

I care about leveling up and being good at MKX, but what does that have to do with being a tournament player? Plenty of online warriors enjoy playing the game at a high level without feeling the need to go to tourneys. More power to you if you enjoy traveling but it's bizarre that you think that makes your opinions more valid (especially since you apparently attend tourneys but never place).

I know it's not popular but lack of tag is what has slowed MKX down for me. Just get bored playing on my own, friends have also put it down as team battle is broken more or less.

And one of us just out paces the other and one on one becomes useless.

Also, the patches have hurt my momentum with the game. I think I'm past the stage of being interested in picking up new characters. I'm not good enough to readjust quickly, so when all these patches hit one after the other I'm kind of forced to learn whole new game plans.

Not saying patches might not be warranted. Just hard to get traction when the dice gets rolled so frequently. It turns me off a little bit. With that being said, a big part of it is I have to work harder in MKX to win, as for whatever reason, it isn't naturally clicking. So I lose, and I dislike that and take it out on the game.

I love it again when I start winning consistently. Obviously. So there is truth to "level up" as a legitimate solve.

Annnnd, the online community. I'll go long sets with someone good, I don't mind losing 15 in a row, but he will fatality every single time. I'll win one. He will leave. Or I'll win a couple on someone with a good connection, they leave.

I know I should find people here, but it's just convienent for me. It's a waste of time having to watch the same fatality 10 in a row. Again, I have to get better so I don't deal with that but I'm trying to get games in here, don't need the fatality spam.

I don't know, bottom line is that there is something "off" about MKX that I can't seem to put my finger on.

If we're being 100% honest, every fighting game is repetitive. You do the same combos, same specials etc all the time. There's only so many characters in the roster to fight and when you fight different characters, you're mostly just reorienting how you use said tools.

As for playing for five to nine hours straight, that's your fault. Anything gets boring and repetitive due to overexposure and burn out. I don't know how anybody has the time to play that much anyway consistently, life, bills, job, family, friends, reading etc gobble up a lot of my time.

I don't even play daily so I can't say I'm bored. The game is fun and it's even more fun in an offline competitive environment. The only time I've truly played for more than three hours in a given day is when I travel to majors a couple times a year and this is for any game, not just MKX.

Playing Goro and Kitana doesn't hurt either, innovation and diversity is apart of the fun for fighters, at least in my view.

don't know about you, but I'm still fascinated with this game. i love testing frames in moves, strings time it takes to walk/run, so many characters and so many variations, so many combos, tech, strategy, not to mention there are more characters coming. so I'm not done yet, but if the online don't change I'm gone for good until i visualize improvement from someone else's copy of the next game or (hoping) this game if they fix it!

if i had a scene where i live atm i would be there, but i will always want online for any game i play, this isnt the early 90's this is 2015, they should be moving forward, its like NRS is still a 6 man crew

How can you level up when you don't go to tournaments and really see how you fare against other regions? How could you even cite online play as a indicator? Sure online players can be good but who will know if they don't come out? How is it not a valid opinion that tournament players are more dedicated and usually better than online warriors. Offline is the real deal. Online is good for practice and MU knowledge but they get 0 respect especially if they're bragging. A person can play 8hrs a day at home, in comfortable conditions, no nerves, nothing on the line, and no one yelling at them all day. That's not how the FGC operates at all.

Online play at a high level doesn't exist because it's almost a different game.a nd why attack me?it was my opinion this site was more geared towards serious tournament player than casuals. Sorry if you feel like your integrity was hurt.

I admire you @BillStickers for training so hard. But you see Bill, I have some issues with fighting games. All I want to do is play and beat people online but not bother learning or reading about match ups. Is there something wrong with me? I just really want to fight!

Sincerely your friend, Mr. Nasty
