My sister's trying out the team raid against Jacqui. She gets a ToD cause the ai was able to pop her up, get those dumbass fireworks to juggle, WHILE somehow calling on the energy rocket at the same time, then getting a knee krushing blow to end it. The ai has a more fun and varied combo system than the actual game itself. Whoever designed this ai needs to be as far away from these modes as possible

I've played mk 11 for awhile and I've come to the conclusion that I don't like the roster. Or the balance of some characters. The skin selections for female characters don't have enough sex appeal. The male characters have been toned down in the intimidation department.
Now to get to details. A lot of the characters on the roster seem to have at least a string or 2 that is very lack luster. A vast majority of the characters do not have the greatest mid or low starters but the ones that do are top tier when you have mechanics properly understood. This is also the case with canceling fatal blow. You get free armor for canceling fatal blow with some characters, so why is that not something all characters can do? I mean that would seem more fair/ interesting.
Second most of the women skins look bad, ridiculous, lack luster, low sex appeal, and overall let down. I don't know who looks worse Jackie Briggs or Cassie cage. Women in the MMA have more sex appeal than these two fictional mongrels. What happened to the edge of mk.
Now for the roster. I hope Jacquie dies, and Cassie losses her God awful space suit. If Johnny cage can fight with no clothes on with the green glow so can his daughter. Why does Erron Black look like he just walked out of Cabellas/bass pro shop with brand new clothes when he looked like a cool outlaw in mkx. How did Kano go from a man with cybernetic implants to someone with a batterypack on his chest. Did kotal Kahn get smaller? Why is skarlet so over clothed when she used to literally bath in the blood of other when she won. Jade likes to wear armor and wear a hood like sub and scorpion? I don't think so bring back mk 9, or deceptions look for her. Kitana just looks lame now I don't know how to save this character other than a total overhaul. Geras also looks like he runs on batteries except his batterypack is on his back. Also looked at the concept art for geras. It looks like you took a good idea keltic God looking guy and turned him into a turd with bland boring look with limited features. Frost again needs a total overhaul character was cool now she might be one of the lamest characters in looks, sex appeal and intimidation. Raiden game after game, gotten lamer and lamer. He is the god of thunder and lightning in your game for crying out loud and he looks like the god of mini sparklers. Try looking at some concept art of Zeus.
Characters who would be beneficial to bring back. Ferra/Tor, Goro, Mileena, Ermac, Tremor, Reptile, Nitara, Onaga, a reworked Havik, Movado, Drahmin, and maybe a chameleon but make him a stealth character not a ninja. More of a guy born in the riff Raff of the world.

I completely disagree on the need for “sex appeal.” Why would someone like Kitana, a warrior princess, wear a bikini? That doesn’t make sense. Your argument for Skarlet I can understand, but for most of the characters in the MK universe, their whole niche was either 1) their weapon, 2) their standard special move, and/or three, the color of their outfit.

i will agree that’s cassies outfits suck, but that’s not because of the lack of sex appeal but because they make her look clunky. I don’t think that the males have lost their intimidation factor or that the characters have lost their fear factor. Look at d’vorah she’s gotten so much nastier.

Raiden i’ve never liked but I will agree has felt stagnant

I can see where you're coming from, especially how the hyper gore is just so readily accepted, but TnA is seen as taboo. But I like the most of the skins, I think they're done well. I say they should have some revealing, and some more conservative for every character. Some thong Sonya, or speedo Summertime Scorpion

A lot of the female skins in this game ARE plain boring. A little skin wouldn’t hurt. This game is a fantasy after all.

Yes, come on now. It’s a very serious appreciation of the female form and absolutely nothing to do with looking at boobs. If any of you disagree I’m going to scream “SJW!”

. The only thing I have seen is that most of you agree with me at least 60%. Kano, geras, Erron black, raiden, and kotal Kahn. Lost there fear factor are lame looking or look like an add for the energizer bunny. Also all of you agree that a lot of the combos from character to character need some rework. As well as the fact that you all seem to agree with my recommendations on characters that should come back to the game seeing as how no one seems to have a complaint about any of those things I mentioned.
The only complaints that you and the above have is. The problem with the word sex appeal. I think that most of the skins for the women suck. The men show more skin than the women which I could care less. But I want the women to show more skin, or at the very least better outfits.
Lastly this is a god of thunder and lightning.16750

What's the point of a random Krypt?
There are some nice costumes in MK11, but overall I think MKX did a better job with female outfits, Tanya, Kitana, and Millena looked way better there than Kitana, Jade, and Scarlet do on MK11. But MK9? Please let us never go back to that.

My biggest complaints a year into the game are:

1. Shao Kahn. Been an MK fan since I was a kid, and he has been my favourite character (followed very closely by Havik), and man, they stripped him of everything that made him who Shao Kahn is and threw the character in the trash in this story. Then burned that trash with the ridiculous mess the character is in all 3 variations with 0 buffs in sight, meanwhile Kitana gets buffed left and right.

2. The story. There was so much to work with at the end of MKX. Throw Kronika and this titan garbge in the bin. Raiden going dark should have been the focal point imo. Absolute waste of an awesome story with a core character. This new era stuff and 'evolution' of MK has me feeling empty in a universe with so much lore to work with, before trying to inject new characters - most of which are so bland they miss the mark completely.

3. Over-simplification for the sake of balance. I played alot of dualist liu in MKX. I didn't care that it was the trash variation, the tech, combos swag, everything about it ws fun and full of DEPTH with a high skill cap. Summoner Quan was one of my faves for the same reason, depth (summoner combos and set ups were hella fun). Tom Brady nails this perfectly. MK11 - and variations especially, limit creativity and pigeonhole players into 1 way of playing a character. The game is the closest thing to balanced NRS has made, yet it cost swag, it cost hype, it cost creativity and it cost depth. No one is finding new tech. No one is labbing more set ups. Many day 1 combos have remained optimal.

4. Never, EVER give zoners a teleport. Seriously, what is this? If you enjoy zoning (lame) then cool, but you should have to work just as hard to get away as a rushdown has to work to get in. Absurd thing to give to a zoner and should never return.

5. Buff Raiden. FFS.

There are many more complaints I have about the poke meta, some wake up mechanics, etc but they've been beaten to death.

Everyone Has A Path
I still enjoy this game for sure but they really bungled a few things. Defensive options are too strong and varied, especially breakaway. Characters are overtuned.

People complain about Jacqui and Joker but honestly they have the right idea. I want a super armor juggernaut. I want high mobility 50/50 characters. I want trap zoners that make you feel stupid for getting caught. I dont like that characters are generally strong for having good mids and projectiles. Characters in Street Fighter arent strong because they have 6-frame mediums.

Bio is the most exciting player to watch by far. Hes playing this character with unga tendencies, flawless blocking counter pokes, and mixing them to death. Characters like Kotal, Kano, Eternal Geras, and Dvorah do offer a level of creativity that's worth looking at. Baraka is also a super explosive underdog character that I love. There's definitely something to the game for sure, I just wish it extended to the whole cast

NRS and Boon do not control when KP2 is going to be revealed - WB does.

Back when we were complaining about the silence of NRS concerning the state of the KP1 trailer - before it was officially announced who the KP1 characters were going to be -, Boon had come out (I think it was Boon - it could've been Tyler or Derek) and had implied that their hands were tied and they couldn't make the announcement whenever they wanted to.

If WB wants the announcement to occur on the X date, it will occur on the X date. No amount of whining on Boon's twitter page will change that.

That said, Mortal Kombat's tweeter page did make a post after the complaints that they 'would be better'.

Well, they aren't. It's KP1 all over again.

They said this game would emphasize neutral and footsies. Then put things like teleports and slides in. Guess what characters are strong and most often played?
