Exactly. There has been an iconic trend in Mortal Kombat that females can be both beautiful and strong and I miss it. It's like they are covering up women's beauty and replacing it with masculinity.

If you think these women look masculine, or that somehow the MK9 women are more feminine I’m not sure you’ve seen a woman before.

I reject this whole premise that the women are less sexy now. The women in MK9 looked like misshapen blow up dolls - now they actually do look both strong and sexy.

And yes, some females outfits looked like strippers/fitness models, nothing wrong about that. NRS doesn't need to go all the way for every character, something like a high split dress is ok for me. Don't need to cover everything with long leggings and armor.

I find it interesting that every time this is mentioned, it's met with "oh noes if you wanna masturbate go watch porn". No one is asking for female characters in bikinis or Mileena's MK9 toilet paper outfit. Talk about Fallacy 101.

I am also not a fan of seeing nearly every female outfit (except what, one Sonya outfit?) being a full blown body suit. I don't find short hair only hands showing Skarlet or Mass Effect Cassie sexy at all. What's wrong with a tshirt and a shorts? A tank top and a skirt? A dress? Gym clothes even? Those are the outfits I always use to customize my female characters in other games, so it's a huge disappointment that all the female outfits so far are more covered than nuns in this game. I'm hoping there will be skins shown later on that are a bit more diverse in taste.

I will chastise all I like for three reasons.
1) They are ALREADY sexy. Except they're realistic, adult player sexy and not bikini babe, teenager fantasy sexy.
2) Nobody complains that Raiden or Kung Lao don't have pretty enough faces or sexy enough clothes.
3) Last I checked, a character shouldn't be defined by how fuckable they are unless it's a porn game.

Huge exaggeration, literally saw a clip of Sonya wearing a crop top in a gameplay video not too long ago. Plus I’m not sure why you guys are bitching like the game isn’t going to give you the option to customize your female characters to look as “sexy” as you desire, so don’t get your undies in a bunch because they aren’t dressed like you want in gameplay before the game’s release. A woman can be “sexy” without showing every part of her body

I read the “last reply” part but I’m gonna leave you with my response, at least.
Not sure what to say about your first point, but for the second one you aren’t complaining about the men because I’m assuming you are one. Y’all are whining about the women because you find them attractive in a way and want them to have sex appeal, which is odd for a video game.
For your third point, why do they have to continue the legacy of showing risky clothed women? Like 9/10 video games do it, not sure why 11 can’t be apart of the 1% of games that don’t. Might show people like yourself that female characters in games are more than just characters that should dress a certain way.

What do women want women to look like? May be the conversation should then be opened up to having women design how the men look.

Ok, one more reply as this is becoming a normal discussion instead of shouting.
Yes, I am male but that is not why I like enhanced male or riskier female characters. I like them because it is a fantasy world and got used to the old setting. Really liked it and even have female friends that love those costumes too. It is over the top, same with the gore.

But I can understand the decision to have more clothes on the females, especially given the times and MK getting bigger in the Esports world.
That doesn't take away that I have my thoughts about it. Females seem to be portrayed in a more real world way but males do not have to be. They still can be half naked, ripped heavyweights. Somethings wrong here imo, can give a sense of illusion to the younger crowd.
Hope we can still have best of both, it's a digital fantasy world after all.

Edit: the last part is about videogames in general. Would never want to see regular Joe Blow fighting in MK lol.

It was of course, but the context of the comment is relevant. I mean bruh, talk about seeing what you wanna see.

As for the rest, I am saying I would like the option to have female characters such as Cassie, Jacqui, Jade, etc wear clothes that isn't full body coverage for an entire wardrobe. Clothes such as a tshirt and gym shorts, a tank top and skirt, a dress, etc. Outside of one Sonya outfit, we have not seen a single customization like this. They are all full body outfits all the way from neck to toe. It's like going from one extreme (MK9) to the other (MK11). Why not a middle ground (MKX)? Making females that aren't fully clothed from neck to toe looking like Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect should be an option, but so far looks like a rarity.
