I'd take playable Shao Kahn or Shang Tsung. Aren't they the only MK2 characters not in the game (other than Noob, I guess)?

Oh yeah, totally forgot about those 3... Still, I'd take Shang, Kahn, or Noob over any of them.

Sorry to break it to you guys, but shao khan and shang tsung aren't dead, according to the story? Kabal and the rest seem alive since mk9.

U know the big mofo in guan's fortress in the revenant pit? That is shao khan. At least I think it is. All of his stuff I in the stage and the guy is freaking huge. Plus I think the scar is just in the spot where Liu hitted through in story of mk9.

Very interesting. I thought that this was a random corpse weaving around this blood pool. We can't rule out that Quan Chi resurrected the other warriors. It's highly possible that Quan Chi will resurrect Shao Khan, Kotal Khan's father.

There is no confirmation or even clues about it. Just a theory fans like because the hammer and helmet are there. Shao Kahn was literally obliterated by the gods.

I get that MK death rules are "vague" but I'm sure the idea that Quan Chi in his spare time got working on a replacement Shao Kahn behind Shinnok's back is pretty low on their list of possible reasons for putting a giant pool monster in a background.

But quan betrays shinnok in his ending,with revenant Shao Khan.
