Tekken 7 General Discussion Thread - OP Updated With All Tekken Info

Resolution through knowledge and resolve.
Time to go for King's sidestep throw until I lose a round. Then, try to remember his setup game for his floaty beatdown combos. Then, poke into them.

Then, practice Nina - since I forget how to play her at the start of every new Tekken, but shortly after that - she gives me the best chance to win.

Unless you are arrogant in rich like Floyd Mayweather, people with a good amount of money aren't the types to talk about how easy it is to afford things, so I would say "you're doing it wrong".

I definitely am not rich, but this country affords us many ways to make money. There are so many options and so much opportunity here.

Anyone know where to get the latest footage? I know some circuit happened in US. I got no clue what's been going on overseas or who is even the top dogs, US or otherwise.

I normally don't watch it, because they show a lot of individual matches from tournaments that were streamed earlier, but it's a good start. From there, you can search for the KOIFT, or King of Iron First Tournament. The last one took place at the end of 2016, and that's a good showcase of overseas talent.

From there, look at the Northwest Majors. A Tekken tournament took place there, more recently.

most succesful US players right now are Mr Naps and Anakin. search those 2 and you'll find the rest. Anakin streams regularly as HoaLuu629. He plays a lot of characters and sometimes gives valuable insight as to how he thinks the game should be played. Just watch what moves he opts to use and how he flows between neutral and poking as well as take note when he likes to pull the trigger on his notorious "random df2" as Jack. I think Anakin is one of, if not the best in anticipating when someone is going to go in instead of just moving around. When facing lower rank players he doesn't just sit back and wait for them to do something dumb so he can hand out punishes, he goes in and keeps them honest with pokes and forces them to deal with that rather than just letting his opponents do whatever it is they want to do.

As for Asian players look for JDCR (tkjdcr on Twitch), Saint (saint_tk), Knee (HolyKnee), Nobi. Some other Twitch channels to order: greentekken, Kurokuro9696japan, SoCalTekken, slam6 (if he ever comes back), AvoidingThePuddle (Aris)

Guys, just another quick note... "Throwback Tokyo" is another channel I watch on YouTube and that player tends to use Nina and a lot of custom weapons, which is something I feel is worth noting . Sometimes, you'll see a Tekken character with a rifle of some sort, or a bow and arrow, or sword. Something that they can take off their back and actually use. If I understand the situation correctly, those weapons are a part of the Tekken 7 heavy customization system, and none of that stuff would be allowed in competitive play.

Green Tekken is a channel I watch, both on YouTube and twitch, and I can't remember whether I've seen anyone using these custom weapons or not there. Still, I figured I'd mention it.

At the very least, prepare your eyes for some pretty ugly custom jobs. I'm pretty sure I've seen LowHigh use Bryan with an inflatable pizza strapped to his back, as well as some other nonsense, because, why not?

No but seriously, at least get rid of the Cali roll extensions being practically homing moves. It's absolutely stupid that she can just throw out fF3 and you are forced to deal with the shenanigans that follow and you are completely incapable of making her block anything after you block fF3. She can make anything you throw out whiff by turning to face you with down+back or alternatively make you deal with her back turn shenanigans... because you risk getting launched if you retaliate with anything because of the cali roll 3+4 or her turning around. FF3 needs to be more minus on block. That move and the meta that follows it is fkn braindead. I don't even mind her crushing and evasive crap as much as I hate fF3. The move is both instant offence and good keep out at the same time. Fkn bs.

Definitely on the nerf aim for sure, they already nerfed bryan, pretty sure Leo, and Steve are next too.

Asian vs other continents or countries are kinda on Asia favor, remember Asia are tier whores, they main mishimas, dragunov, Xiaoyu, Leo and Steve, they're cunts.
