Iv been learning Tarkatan Alien to fight 5 or 6 of Sub-Zero's really hard matches. I'd rather slit my wrists and dump 12 ounces of Borax in the open wounds than play Unbreakable.b-bb-b-b--bub-bu-bu-but Reo says Unbreakable is gud against Mileener
That's a great duo tbh. Alien's worst match ups are Jax and Cassie IMO. From what I've seen Sub does pretty well vs them.Iv been learning Tarkatan Alien to fight 5 or 6 of Sub-Zero's really hard matches. I'd rather slit my wrists and dump 12 ounces of Borax in the open wounds than play Unbreakable.
I think he beats all 3 of themThat's a great duo tbh. Alien's worst match ups are Jax and Cassie IMO. From what I've seen Sub does pretty well vs them.
Maybe Alien and Sub were friends all along. Alien is secretly Lin Kuei.
How does Subby boi do vs Kitana? I'm not ready to say that Tarkatan loses to Kitana, but it's hard. If Sub beats Kitana, along with Cassie and Jax, I might even consider that duo.
His clone is extremely goodHow good is sub's ice clone? Haven't played him since umk3 but I've heard his clone really sucks in mkx?
Against some characters it's very good, against some it's not so good. How good is sub's ice clone? Haven't played him since umk3 but I've heard his clone really sucks in mkx?
Can you please explain why? Shouldn't his clone be universal? Apparently he's not that strong to begin with.Against some characters it's very good, against some it's not so good.
Well it's just that some characters can deal with clone way easier than others. We look forward to characters like Jax, Cassie, Liu Kang, Reptile, etc because the don't have an efficient way to handle the clone. But don't have a lot of fun against D'Vorah, Mileena, or Predator because characters like that can destroy the clone. Can you please explain why? Shouldn't his clone be universal? Thanks. What I meant by universal wasn't about his clone being in all variations but of his clone working the same against any character, I thought that maybe his clone didn't freeze certain characters or something like that, but it's just what opponents do against it is what you're saying. And I completely agree, some characters are OP, just look at current finalists and tourney winners, all I see is Alien-Mileena-Alien-Mileena-Alien-Mileena-Takeda-Alien-Mileena lol. Some top players I believe only focus on top tiers and drop their mains if they get nerfed or are made "regular" level. Others claim to drop their main but that's because they got nerfed or people were catching up to them. So yea, I believe it's cool to be loyal to the character you like. And I don't think the clone should be universal, Cryomancer would be doing like 70% shatter combos lol.
And yeah without the clone he is pretty weak, because of highly negative strings, slower pokes, etc.. Not to say his normals are terrible, B2 and D4 are pretty good. He is good but just like any non top tier character it's gonna be hard. The mid tier characters(Sub-Zero included) are pretty fucked up, but honestly it doesn't matter that the mid tier are that great because of how EVEN MORE fucked up the top tiers are. It's hard to use him as a solo main, but he is very effective in a team of characters because he really does dominate some matchups.
Yeah sure. It's to be expected. These people are paying a lot of money to go to events so it makes sense to pick the character that gives them the competitive edge. And thanks, but I'm not one of those loyalists. Sub is my favorite but I also play Scorpion and recently Alien.Thanks. That's all good, it's when some people lie and say they don't pick top tiers because they have an advantage but claim they just had a change of heart Lol. I play Kitana, raiden, and a coupe of others on a low low level but maybe if I was competing I'd main a top guy, maybe I'd pull a Xian and stick with a low tier character until I proved you can win something Lol. Awesome bro thanks, Im thinking of playing sub and just needed some questions asked.Yeah sure. It's to be expected. no kidding, i don't really believe what Reo said about Unbreakable. In Brady I trust.Iv been learning Tarkatan Alien to fight 5 or 6 of Sub-Zero's really hard matches. I'd rather slit my wrists and dump 12 ounces of Borax in the open wounds than play Unbreakable.
Depends on how close you are on weather or not the shatter or the burst block frames come outAnyone ever tested to see how negative sub is after a blocked shatter combo? Or just a blocked clone shatter in general? Is it -9 like ice burst?
The slide is safe only if it's away from the corner or the opponent does stand block. I avoid doing the slide, when near the corner or the opponent blocks.Subzero's Slide is -22 on block I think right? And it does 8% damage on hit? Should it be either safer or do more damage? I mean the risk/reward ratio seems really bad. Would you guys say it's a good tool or just to end combos? Just curious what you subs thought.
Behold, I bless the Sub Zero forums with my combos once again. This time for Grandmaster.
It could be the new BnB
if i lost the subzero mirror to a goofball doing a 3 bar 29 percent combo i'd probably drop the game lol
