Yeah when I posted what I did I just wanted to let out what I had heard (and with the "THIS IS POSSIBLE BS" disclaimer). And because I couldn't verify most of it, it's better off to remain in the speculative and rumored phase/forums (even though there's precedence and some evidence for certain things to be true, others not so much). I wouldn't go to any major publication or youtubers (especially the clickbait kind) without concrete evidence which is what's gonna happen unless there's some pictures I haven't seen, which is a possibility.
Definitely seems like an iffy move to me. I just hope no one gets in trouble or loses their job over it, if it does happen.

If the leaker gives it to to someone with a big plattform, that person doesn't have to show the sources to the public. They can just say they have seen proof. If you're confident enough in what you're revealing, there's no need to show too much of that in public. People will doubt you, but they'll see that you're right once the game is out, so no need to get anyone in trouble. You just gotta find someone that handles it decently.
Typically though people with a big platform are going to want some form of evidence before going out on a huge limb and claiming "Hey this is all legit" to their 1000+ subscribers or whatever.* I always include that disclaimer when talking about what I've heard because it could all end up being bullshit, even stuff that I personally have faith in.
Slight misunderstanding of what I meant. The people with the platform need to see the proof first. But THEY don't need to show it publicly to everyone if they are certain enough it's the real thing. I was talking from their perspective.
Ah yes I totally agree with you on that. I have seen some... ahem youtubers put some videos out and some posts on reddit where all I can think is "Come on man someone told you this shit" lol.
