This is likely the final roster and I'm fine with it. A little meh considering I really wanted fujin tremor and rain but it's okay. Fujin and tremor are very likely for dlc so I'm fine with this roster.

I can see Liu, Jax, and either jc or Sonya not both. Shinnok probably. Last two I think will be Fujin and Baraka

I see nothing wrong with the leaks really...by what I know and by who I would expect and I'm totally fine with it...more is always nice though...

Only thing I dont understand about the leaks is that they haven't said everything ...they are holding something back and IDK if they are just waiting to say something or enjoy watching everyone freak out...

but regardless its not hard to see, find and get info from people nowdays some of the stuff they are doing is big and someone is always willing to talk

I would pay double for the game if those recycled mk4 nobody-cares-about characters (reiko, fujin, whateverjin, blablakai whateverthefk) are NOT in the roster.

if i had to name my top 10 least favourite characters of mk history, sonya, liu and Johnny would all be in, along with guys like mavado, kobra, nitara, and darrius. i wish they would finally leave for good...

there are so many cool characters in the mk universe which could be explored further, like havik, fujin, reiko, bo rai cho, skarlet, noob saibot and maybe even more new characters. hell even shang tsung is not in this roster... instead the most bland (kung fu monk, army person, troll character...) are featured AGAIN, some IN ADDITION TO THEIR OFFSPRING:

Yeah... except the ninjas are no where near palette swaps anymore. But I guess special forces gender/age swaps are fine? Not even going to change their abilities when they gender/age swap, at least the ninjas have the most diversity possible when it comes to move sets

This week we have Cage, Jax, Sonya, etc...

I assume the leaks are accurate until shown otherwise. Its tough to tell wich is more polarizing, those that are in or those that arent. The main chunk of the cast that people are a bit torn on is the group of Jax, johnny, sonya and kang. They are some of the the most iconic and popular characters in the MK universe yet are being painted as roster bloat. Maybe its the presence of Jaqui and Cassie wich makes them feel a bit redundant (not kang obv.). Like we all enjoy those classics but felt this was a great opportunity to inject even more new flavor into the series even if its with older lesser used characters from previous MKs.

I don't think it's redundant. I really don't see Jacqui being too similar to jax, so if he were in the game I don't mind. Johnny and Sonya seem meh, I mean u can obviously see their styles in Cassie. Leave them story-only and u have 2 spaces for different characters.

Why do people want Fujin and Reiko in this game?

They are recycled chars that started in MK4 copy-pasted from characters that didn't exist in the roster.

Fujin had Kung Lao's spin, Liu Kang's kicks, Sindel's fatalities and some random kicks and punches. Also, what wind god uses a crossbow wtf (see Goenitz for actual wind god comparison).

Reiko had shuriken spam and a flip kick.

The other versions from further games were so generic and soulless I can't for the life of me imagine what can be appealing in them?

Am I probably retarded and missing the point? Could be , but still.........

this is not a leak but merely a guess by some random message board post going off of guesses that were already far too predictable. I'd say all those characters are in the game but this is definitely not the final roster. I'd also bet money that Johnny, Jax, Sonya, and Kenshi will just be alternate costumes of their respective siblings. It also would not suprise me if Kitana has a Jade costume. We know this sorta thing was somewhat done in Injustice. I have no doubts they are going to play that card here.
