Just because one player manages to overcome bad MUs doesnt mean we should criticize those who can't. When there is money on the line it gives fuck all what anyone thinks of you, all that matters is whether you win or lose.

Injustice has a very dominant top 2 or 3 characters but they are not unbeatable, people either need to accept that or move on.

I didn't criticize anybody i just stated fact.

Everything else is nothing new that's why i respect more people who overcome bad MUs instead of counterpicking. Thank God that people like this exist... even when "there is money on the line".

I agree. I actually admire 16-Bit and Digit for being character loyalists. Aquaman is just so god damn boring

Congrats to Sonic Fox to taking the tourney, this recent run of tournaments is making me real excited for Evo. So many killers are going to collide at that tournament, it's really hard to think who is going to make top 8.

Shout outs to Chris G for making top 8 with Green Arrow.

I mentioned this in the top 8 thread. Deg going aqua is something a competitor should respect, it's a win at all cost mentality. However from a spectators standpoint it's really lame which is why there is such a large outcry. There is a lot of criticism going towards Deg about dropping this 8-2 matchup on Chris G who stuck to just 1 low tier character throughout the tournament. I think that's misplaced.

If you want to throw criticism his way, talk about how his over hyped zatanna got downloaded by Chris G (Who had zero matchup experience vs. her) in one match and beaten to the point he had to drop her for a 8-2 matchup. But event then it would be better to save the criticism and just give Chris G props for playing well.

I don't know what make of this tournament, Chris fucking G still making top 8s and even overcoming unknown matchups.

1. He's so godlike.
2. No one practices against Green Arrow.
3. People haven't really leveled up if a guy with just solid fundamentals and 20% combos can beat them.

2. This is not exactly true. Hard to find GA players, but GA hasn't changed really since the game came out.
3. People have leveled up but you go against him, or any great GA. Instant-air overhead ice arrows are fucking difficult to deal with. Not to mention he makes a habit of "crouch, jump back, crouch, release arrow" so he continues to mess with your mind the whole game from one move.
Not to mention Chris G is a master blocker
