you can't react to an iafb fast enough to get a ball on screen without getting hit before it comes out. Ex maybe.
If you react fast enough ex does work, but if you don't you just wasted a bar. Getting in is definitely the toughest part of this MU.

It isn't quite that easy, but I think the MU can go either way. You still have to take Liu's pressure into account for when you get in, but if you can get him to respect you and get that 1 knockdown, the fight is yours to lose. I used to say 6-4 but I call it 5-5 now after lots of consideration.

He's 0 on block after every string though. No liu wants to block after a string either. Just dasg at the right time, get knock down, and laugh at his shitty wake up game

No, this is the problem A LOT of Liu Kangs have, and the reason why so many of us are getting blown up so hard. Good Liu Kang players are looking for dash and will block that shit to get an easy punish for over 30%. This isn't what you want. If he doesn't respect it at first by all means throw it out, however once he starts simply start to pressure.

Nah man, dash is safe on block duhhhh. Lol but seriously, if they want to respect the dash, they can. D3 will be faster than whatever he throws next. If he blocks, a d3 ah will put you in a position where he either gets knocked down or blocked and he can't really punish it. D3 ex dash is kinda cool i guess too. But yeah, you can counterpoke if he respects. Or dash. It's kinda 50-50.

Nah man it's not a 50-50 thing, it's all about making adjustments mid-match. Also, d3 AH can be b3'd for combo because of the 14 frame gap in between the two moves, so I wouldn't rely too highly on that. d3 ex dash is pointless, why cancel an 8 frame move into a 6f move as a poke, when you could've just thrown out the 6f move in the first place?? haha. I always follow up d3's with another low poke or a standing 1 sometimes, if I follow them up at all.

Lol touche salesman. All good points. I still find this as one of my favorite matches.

Because an occasional d3 to EX dash is unexpected, and helps to throw off raw EX dash scouting.

Anything canceled to EX dash throws off a lot of timings. I'm starting to realize that it's still good, but it requires you to not always do it raw. It's 6% chip + advantage frames after.
