If Raiden had a scene like Flash where it shows why we are changing the scene I'd be cool with it. He's not the worst offender though; for me that goes to Baptain Bold and his super that takes us to a random ice kingdom and is followed up by no perma frost on the map

I think this may be the wrong genre for you, dude. Watching people get up after Robin's sword attacks must be agony for you.

1 - Name recognition. Raiden is far more well known among fighting game fans than Black Lightning. Raiden will sell more as DLC than Black Lightning would. This is just the bottom line.

2 - It's easier for NRS to import a character that already has an established moveset as opposed to creating Black Lightning as a dedicated character from scratch.

I realize people are salty about Raiden and Sub Zero being included in INJ2, but everyone needs to get over it if you plan on continuing to play NRS fighters. Guest characters will always be a thing because they sell really well.

Having said that, Raiden doesn't look all that interesting. In my opinion, Sub Zero is the most boring character in the entire game. Hopefully Raiden will be a bit more different from his MKX iteration than Sub Zero was.

Either way....I got Manta and Hellboy in this pack, so I'm not going to complain.

How is Sub-Zero boring? He looks great in this game and his moves are also cool (no pun intended). You are right about Raiden being in the game though.

Exact same thing I was thinking. There was probably an early in development meeting to have Black Lightning in the game as future DLC to coincide with the show, over Static who has been out of the DC limelight for awhile. Then someone probably suggested Raiden while just making BL a premier skin.

Raiden already had animations, a character design layout, multiple iterations in the past, big list of special moves to pick and choose and probably saved them some resources.

On a separate note, that super though! Also the stage transition in the super reminds me of the Windy bridge from MK Sub-Zero: Mythologies. Fujin MK11 confirmed?!?

Good point. I hope Fujin returns. He's my fav since MK4. This stage reminds me of that windy stage with the moving platforms. I don't remember the storm, through.

If I have done this super move as a finisher, I would do the MK4 Fujin winning pose. lol

For all those asking why Raiden is the base character and not the skin, its pretty obvious why. Raiden was already developed so all they basically had to do was tweak him a bit to make him fit into Injustice game and then jus slap a black lightning skin on him after that rather than having to develop strings and specials for black lightning that probably would have felt slightly out of place on a Raiden premiere skin. From a design stand point it makes sense.

lol yeah CC is a mere human with a freeze gun and magically teleports people to the artic, lol at least with Raiden the dude can teleport himself and others anywhere. I personally love when he disappears and reappears. But yeah Cold's super probably makes the least sense in that regard.

BL's is cool, knew it would be different at least a little. Not as epic as Raiden's but still cool. Some people thought he'd use the DC icon haha.

That's kinda true, but that's more because that Raiden is a lot more well-known and more popular then Black Lightning. So it only makes sense that they would put Raiden as the main character and add the BL skin just for the DC fans.
