Trailer makes Raiden look hype as F. Although I had to remind myself that MKX Raiden announcement was also amazing, while character itself was something I found disappointing later on. Also, reminder that some of those moves are gear moves cooled my head down a bit as well.

Insecure kids? More like just tired of seeing endless whining from certain comic fans....lol and I'm no kid. Been following both MK and DC for over 30 years + now. I just call it how I see it. For weeks people have been giving NRS and Boon shit for "raiden, take him out wahh" like seriously? with every damn update with Injustice. It gets old and childish after a while. If someone don't like it don't play him lol I anticipated this reaction the moment I saw the news and now half of the "raiden haters" are doing 180's now after seeing that trailer lol. I can respect if you have preferences but it's not the end of the world or anything I get that people were pleased, others not so much.

We get it, some people don't want MK or guest characters but again I feel like a broken record already with WHY WB did this....it's called profit. Scorpion sold the most in the first game so I don't get why some people are acting like a few guest characters from MK is a bad thing? I never thought though I "won or lost" anything FTR, just posting my opinion based off what I see like you and anyone else.

Brainiac only died in superman's ending, but even if that one ends up canon, superman will have most of his powers and Brainy might end up being his premier skin for i3.

OMG Raiden looks great, and so is Black Lightning, and that Super was FUCKING DOPE! Without a doubt one of the top 5 best supers in the game. I'm so happy that he is in the game. And if you wanna play as a DC character, you got the Black Lightning skin, so that everyone is happy. NRS and WB give enough for everyone to enjoy, and that case was no exception. Huge kudos to NRS for putting yet another great character in a great game.

Yes it is a DC fighting game but with all due respect to some other DC chars including Black Lightning, Raiden is still more popular then them overall, he is one of the faces of MK, so it only makes sense that he will make the cut, and you still have more DC chars then MK chars in the game. And you can use the Black Lightning skin if you really want, but after this trailer, a lot of people would wanna use them both probably and understandably so, and yes it is becoming childish to continue to whine especially after this trailer. this trailer was fucking dope, and both Raiden and Black Lightning look great.

I think this list was pretty much debunked awhile back as it has Batwoman as a Batman skin and NRS has stated that they wouldn't be doing any gender swapping for skins and it also has Vixen as her own character.

I rather Hellboy had been next. I think it would had actually been more fitting to release him in October since Halloween and demons.

That's sort of what I was getting at in my previous comment in this thread. The longer I have to wait for Raiden to come out the longer I have to wait for a character [Hellboy] I actually care about to come out. -_-

All I know is that I am confident that NRS is hearing the complaints loud & clear about the guest characters.

IMO that's great respect for the DC Universe (from the fans).

Hearing and acknowledging or hearing and dismissing? I ask, because it seems, at this point, like it might be the latter rather than the former.

I have a problem with supers that change the stage because it rips me out of the immersion. I'd be fine with it if we didn't magically teleport to the sky temple. I also think Black Lightning should've been the character and not the PM. But then how else would NRS get the chance to recycle a second characters move set from MKX?

Raiden is a powerful, immortal Thunder God with a vast variety of powers. Teleporting in between universes, dimensions and parts of the world he's on is one of them. He does this in the canon so I'm fine with that. Now other characters where say you're in Atlantis and fly to the sky then get punched down in the same spot lol but hey it's a comic game, it's going to be over the top at times. I don't think it'll be recycled clearly Raiden has a new string and will be a hybrid of MK X Raiden with his teleport actually not being limited this time.

Add that Raiden is not the only one teleporting to many dimensions. Flash does it, too.

True, though only difference is Flash runs and uses the speed force to do so

Here's the explanation for everyone wondering why Raiden is the main character and Black Lightning is simply a skin:

1 - Name recognition. Raiden is far more well known among fighting game fans than Black Lightning. Raiden will sell more as DLC than Black Lightning would. This is just the bottom line.

2 - It's easier for NRS to import a character that already has an established moveset as opposed to creating Black Lightning as a dedicated character from scratch.

I realize people are salty about Raiden and Sub Zero being included in INJ2, but everyone needs to get over it if you plan on continuing to play NRS fighters. Guest characters will always be a thing because they sell really well.

Having said that, Raiden doesn't look all that interesting. In my opinion, Sub Zero is the most boring character in the entire game. Hopefully Raiden will be a bit more different from his MKX iteration than Sub Zero was.

Either way....I got Manta and Hellboy in this pack, so I'm not going to complain.
