Uh, so maybe play a couple matches before deciding its "forgettable and minimally useful" ?
Oh you mean like Nivek just did? Man if only we could find a detailed thread where he recaps the strengths and weaknesses of her design as well as discussing the potential usefulness of her various trait buffs. Oh... wait....
 
Now, I generally try and avoid judging characters when a game isn't even out yet but... seriously, RNG elements in fighting games are a massive pet peeve of mine.

I find it bitterly hilarious that they acknowledged that folks generally didn't like the RNG elements of Harley's old trait, hence why they changed it, only to go and give Wonder Woman a RNG trait with five potential options rather than three.

Still, her design looks quite interesting otherwise, so I'm hoping that she'll still be fun to play. But RNG should not have a place in fighting games ever.

So today i've got invited by Warner Bros France to play Injustice 2 but only 2 hours.
And i agree with @Nivek . She's really weird to play. She's not a zoner because shied toss is really unsafe like -33 so it can be punish full screen. She's not a rusher too because her normals have small range.
Her d2 is 13f. too slow for an anti air. I think her b1 is better to anti air.
Her bf3 is really awesome ! haha

You need to play her in mid range. Trying to annoy with shield toss, lasso and charge. She's really good to whiff punish with shield toss, lasso and charge. And her d1 (6f) is really good to punish.
Her random trait is really annoying. I don't know why they put a random trait for wonderwoman. it's really useless. The recovery is really long.

thanks... will you continue to play her? how does she feel against the rest of the cast? Can she compete or does she feel outclassed? was her bracelet reflect useful?

I'll try to play her. To soon to tell if she can compete or not. But I think you'll need a counter pick against zonner. It was hard against Firestorm or even Harley. She looks good against rusher like robin.
Her bracelet is slower than igau but the active frame is quite long.

Well... we can call her Gamble Woman until they change the trait...
I remember you said her trait has a lot of recovery, but I wanted to know if there was at least a safe way to set it up in case if they change her trait? Everything else about Wonder Woman's playstyle has me interested, and if her trait is changed I can see myself playing as her.

Honestly after seeing some footage now I am totally ok with the trait. Unlike most other install traits it 1) Lasts quite a long time 2) recharge rate is near instant, letting you get back into it quick.

I remember you said her trait has a lot of recovery, but I wanted to know if there was at least a safe way to set it up in case if they change her trait? Everything else about Wonder Woman's playstyle has me interested, and if her trait is changed I can see myself playing as her.
I'm guessing that there will be but you'll be giving up damage/positional control/+frame advantage all for a "potentially" useful buff since it's random. I'm still going to try out Wonder Woman but, my hype level is at awkward borderline semi-boner where I expected it to be viagra pirate ship mast erect by this point.

The weirdest thing for me to hear, and my biggest worry now, is that her range is short. The main reason I enjoyed her so much was her great footsie tools. That coupled with her relatively fast walk speed and number of movement options (air dash, good forward and backwards dashes, divebomb, and instant air human missile) meant that she got around a lot of the bullshit projectiles that were in that game.

Now I fear she will be fodder for competent zoning characters as well as missing out on the old otg divebomb/air-dash set-ups needed to compensate. But this is super early days, so who knows. At least in the first game she flew under the radar and remained at least relevant almost every patch.

She still has many projectiles. Bf2 air bf2 db2 air db2. But the problem is, her main projectile bf2 is really unsafe.

She has footsie tools too with shield toss charge and lasso. Her 22 and b11 have a decent range. But that's all. Her d1 is 6f. So it's good for punish. And you can hitconfirm with bf2 ex for max damage.

For me the problem in her trait, is the boots buff. Even if her trait is random she really needs the air dash move on her basic move list.

She needs a faster d2 like 10f to 13f.
Air dash in her basic move list.
Projectiles safe on block.
Her b2 or f2 more faster.

What if they just added more recovery on the opponent on, for example Lasso. So you have a way to activate trait without sacrificing too much? I highly doubt they are going to re-design the trait, so it's a tough break. However it HAS to be useful somehow, someway. (i hope)

They can make trait with directions like d4 b4 f4 u4 and 4. And making the air dash on her basic move list is possible too. It's not like changing some animations.
But yeah the easiest option is to change the recovery of lasso or recovery of the trait.

My only hope is that NRS pays attention to WoWo's trait recovery and considers making it safer if they find that it's underperforming and in conflict with the design purpose.

can you post some gameplay, a lot them I found is her as a cpu or some guy doing the same move over again.

i cant find it... it was a couple of french players?, and they at least knew moves and string together a combos. the match was WW vs Harley

Glad I m not the only one who finds her moveset lacking.

I can live with random trait thing if they just add her air dive bomb shield move which is gear move to her base moveset and make her parry reflect projectiles as tyler confirmed when WoWo was revealed last year in July.

I would also like to see return of instant straight air punch move she had in last game.

We will have to wait and play her a lot to know but idk... Maybe we were just spoiled with her IGAU version which was so damn good and now we got a character that has to work her way in slowly and manage her meter, without safe, unreactable, meterless 50/50's, dumb OTG set/ups and oki in general, a kinda get-in for free card with demigoddess, J3, airdash and some of the best range in the game.

It would really surprise me if they make WW not viable in a tournament setting to be honest. Sounds lame, but with her movie being so close?

I just think she's gotta have something hidden, or perhaps they have already implemented changes. Regardless bring on launch.

She wasn't really that dominant in first game. It's not like she was winning every tournament.

It's such a big down grade that they removed two of her mobility moves( dive bomb and straight air punch) and limited her air dash to random trait. We have yet to see her parry reflecting projectiles which tyler confirmed when she was revealed last year.
