The likes of footsies and conditioning are skills of the player not something you just give a character
If I gave you a Fisherman tool set are you automatically a Fisherman?
No, but you got the tools provided to be a good fisherman, works the same with being good at conditioning/footsies
As said before the tools used to make a good footsie char are and can be a mix of Range, Mids, Mobility, Fast normals, etc
Making it one thing would be way too easy and make all of them things redundant and most importantly as I said first it's a skill set that needs a toolset to fully utilise
Its a somewhat definition of Sonya but it just fits me well or Sonya made me dunno. Black canary with her coming trait will be maybe perfect for counter zoning. Having mix ups and blaablaa we will see
JEJE Iv allways played characters with good range, good movement speed and projectiles, MK9 Kitana, P4Arena Yukiko, P4ultimax Margaret, MKX Kitana, they all fit my play style.
Let's live ,love and let loose a little
Just bare with me for a sec.(or 30)
Okay so I've being asking people lately what is the 5 most important elements you look for in a character (and 2 least elements) that suits you the most.
It interests me more than it should as I love how we all differ.
So basically I have a list of 18 most common elements that people look for and tools characters have.
Although this is vague I don't want it to be too vague by just saying "Offence, Defence or Space control"
If you want any of those aspect then make them with the tools I have given. That's the fun.
Before you start here are 5 things to note
1.Just assume your character looks perfectly how you would want him/her to look
2.This list will be prioritised.
Meaning what you have list as number 1 will be most important and will be strongest tool
So for example if you pick "Anti Airs" as your No 1 that AA would be like Mileenas Roll where it will AA almost everything, lead to a combo and not cost any resource. When if you have as No 5 it will just be a decent AA.
3.Don't just look at these elements as singular choices but look at how they compliment each other depending on your choices.
For example 1 you have "Pressure" and "Mobility" in your top choices then that means that mobility is focused on getting you in as opposed to Example 2 if you have "Zone" and "Mobility" then the mobility will be focused on keeping you out this depending on what number each is placed.
Of course you can have all 3 of these but just keep in mind of note number 1.
4.You can only list an element once!
Listing Mix ups 5 time won't do shit
5.Keep it just within the elements I mention below. So just 5 most important and 2 least important.
Don't add in your own choices, if anything get creative and try use the tools to replicate your own choices.
Plus for the love of god I don't want to be seeing shit like:
1.Wake ups
2.Okizeme 3.Pressure/AA
Sigh. That just ruins the fun
Also there are obviously things missing from
the list that I don't feel are as important or make other choices redundant like DOT, Meter drrain, Parries etc
I will add a spoiler below for the ones that may need clarification.
Okay thanks for going through the boring stuff now the fun stuff
How to lay it out
Remember pick 5 in order that are most important as in
1._____ = strongest aspect
2._____
3._____
4._____
5._____ = decent / solid
And then 2 of the least important.
Does not matter the order of these 2 you list
1._____
2._____
I'll give my list as example below if interested
Best thing about this is to see how different your list is from others, you may get the same elements as someone else but getting exact same order is more rare than you would think.
Try not to make the most OP character but to make the most appealing character to you. So have fun. No tension or picking on peoples choices in here or I'll ban Storm again.
Here are your choices
See it kind of as Subway for your perfect fighting style
It's been a while since I played a fighting game, let alone competitively, but I believe the following holds true for me (note I'm all about those Vortexes)
Strongest:
1.Pressure
2.Mix Ups (should note that I also consider cross-ups here as well)
3.Set Ups
4.Counterzone
5.Anti-Air
