I'll be joining the testing team in the next couple of days.

Quick question, @NSR: Is it possible to patch only the files that fix the input bug/drops without affecting the characters, or did you mess with the engine too much to fix the inputs?

If that is possible, can I just use that fix and play the normal version of the game online, or will it desync against someone without the patch?

Let me explain: the startup file contains 2 major changes: the air breaker nerf and the input bug fix. if you want, you can use only the startup so you can avoid the character changes. Presumably though, it will desync (even if it was only the input bugfix) since the data is different.

Won't be out this month. Hopefully December 2017 but we'll see. I wanna get it done before January 2018.

This is awesome, specially the input fix.

Any chances on modding the xbox 360 version too? I have one modded console and this would be NUTS!

No such luck.
The script tools do not exist for the Xbox 360, only for PS3 and PC. Sorry

CFW PS3 or it's impossible.
Check out the newest 4.82 cfw exploit, if you can install it, you are good to go for installing MK9 TE

May I ask if there's a concise cumulative change log for someone who last played the vanilla MK9?

I do realize such log would be a massive shit ton of work, but maybe it exists, perchance?

I just downloaded the patch so when i boot up mk9 does the game already know to use the patch?

you replace the files (remember to delete/rename startup.xxx.meta) and the game will load the modded files.
To confirm it works, the title screen logo should change.

I was thinking of some change to make ex hair not completely useless and it would be to give it a tag use.
Either changing the last slam to give a pop up, or throw far instead of pinning into the ground, only fast enough to connect with a fast tag like strykers but keeping the frame data but I don't think these are doable. So the other only one would be to allow it to just fast tag during the recovery like the strings that already exist.
