The official dates for the Mortal Kombat pre-order beta have been announced! The beta will take place from August 18-21, about a month before public release of the game (and one month from tomorrow).

I think if you buy directly from the PS/Xbox store it will just be a separate download, kinda like demos but with a pre-order check.

Likely nothing. I have the same. It's very possible that the beta app doesn't exist yet and that it'll be uploaded close to the date.

Do you mean you buy it physically when it releases and pre order digitally?

Either way you will get the beta if you pre order Digitally or physically unless your retailer for your physical copy is no longer giving out pre order codes
