MK11 Kano Discussion

After seeing the Rambo KK, is it too much to ask for a low/mid Rack-Off, Manhandled to become universal and FIGJAM to become an actual special move (forward moving, safe on block, 'can combo' grab) so I can play a full grappler Kano in MK 11?

I already know the answer, but still...
Only thing about Manhandled being universal is the overhead plus extra hit in all 3 variation may be a little much. Def needs it in Ripper tho.
IMO they need to increase his D3 hit adv, +10 in this game for a d3 is dumpster juice

Currently rolling with Cmd grab, Manhandled, and Acid. I haven't labbed the gaps, but I'm using Acid to check their mashing the way I would Kano ball.

Jailing with Kano feels so freaking good. Gonna continue to learn him. RIPPER boyz

Yeah this might be the way actually I think this is what Bio will be using mostly and I might need to switch it up. I'm back and forth with Snakebite/Manhandled or Snakebite/Bio-Pull. Snakebite being a 2 slot move is dumb and really limits what you can do with him. I like Bio-Pull though so I might try Lumbar, Manhandled and Pull.

Lumbar, manhandled, and the pull is seriously fun.

Yea so any tic string into acid is still flawless blockable, but the timing of that FB is different than if you finished the entire string.

So you can 24 tic, 24(1+3), or 24 acid and if they try the original OS, the acid is gonna burn their asses and you still get advantage in neutral for resuming the F1 game.

So if you got an opponent OS'ing your tics, acid may be the way to go to keep them guessing and conditioned.

Scaling on pull is atrocious lol, I can't see myself using it effectively with cmd and manhandled. Using it with ratbag seems more effective on paper

Alright I'm a kano noob in mk11, loved his cutthroat variation in mkx though. Now that he can use kustom variations I'm interested in picking him up. What are some good loadouts? Thanks :)

I think the wave right now is Lumbar/Manhandled/Chem Burn. I'm not a huge fan of this custom but it's very effective and mix up heavy. I'm rocking Snake Bite/Manhandled and Pull/Optic Blast/Vege. For me these two customs cover most of my MU's

Depends on what do you want from him. Strongest mix variation is without a doubt manhandled/lumbar check/chemical burn.
If you want squeeze maximum damage out of Kano snake bite/manhandled is the way to go. He keeps some mixup potential in that variation too. Only this loadout gives him launching overhead(for two bars, but it is save, nobody in the game has this).
My personal go-to is bio magnetic pull/manhandled/chemical burn. Reason is: chemical burn is awesome move with almost safe(99% safe) counterpoke game, it makes 241+3 manhandled string gapless, and gives you scary 2 bar corner set up with bio magnetic pull; manhandled gives you very good f43 overhead string and 241+3 launching string with sneaky low in the middle(it adds pressure, believe me); bio-pull grants you small combos(but combos nonetheless) after 11 and f12 strings , 14 frame midscreen whiff punish, anti wakeup special and corner set up I’ve been taking earlier.

Got around to labbing that Rambo crawl tic, I believe Kano can reversal chemical burn out of all the crawl options. The parry gets punished as well.

Just fyi

This will not work on all of his options into Crawl. Some of Rambo's strings leading into it, due to the amount of block stun the string puts you in must be jumped. For example: Forward 2,1 into Crawl Grab must be jumped or short hopped.
Back 3,3 into crawl grab will cause the Acid to go over Rambo's head.

Wins against strings into grab that have way less block stun: 1,2 2,2 F1,2 etc

It does beat the counter clean, which is odd considering Rambo is meant to counter any move except FB. But Rambo does still have options. In most cases he can still jail you attempting to Acid like with the aforementioned F2,1 string and he can also in most string just cancel the crawl and be safe against Acid... Or in most cases at least trade with the crawl strike.

Definitely not a beat all options Crawl counter

Does jump on reaction beat all the options?

It beats everything except if Rambo just cancels the crawl because he will get up in time to block any jump attack. He has enough time to block after an empty short hop if he just cancels into blocking.

Hey I was wondering if anyone could re-hash their Kano Oki tactics now that the timing window has changed.

For the corner, if you get a knockdown with F12B2, and you d1 b1, your b1 will hit them the exact frame they get up and I believe only a 6f jab will trade, a 7f jab will be beaten. Pretty handy bc you can B1 knife throw and resume your pressure pretty damn easily. Alternatively, if you have chemical burn, the spacing allows you to connect chem burn off B1, and set up the close fire amp to begin that game.

Only mentioning this bc with new timing window it's really easy and if they delay you already backed off with B1 movement.

My sincere apologies Kano. You are one of the coolest characters in MK11, but you are now dethroned by Rambo as the ultimate knife wielding badass. He simply does everything a little bit better and more visceral than you do.

I just wish Rambo would also piss on his dead opponents.17878

Lol I’m so depressed right now after just finding out that knife toss into bio-pull costs meter. I’d practiced all these sick combos (w full meter turned on so I didn’t notice) like j2,4xxKnife_tossxxBio_pull amp, b2, 11, f2xxLumbar_check and other crazy stuff in the corner

I know it’s downright obscene at this point asking for kano to have more stuff but gd I want that knife toss xx biopull to be meterless just in combos so it can be a regular part of his combos
