Indeed . The stings that require fast pressing are f333 , 212 , 2121 and b124So was messing with LK early on then dropped him to play with other characters but thinking of picking him up more seriously. One thing this game seems to have a lot of is unsafe strings for a good amount of characters, his seem safer and faster which I like. Going to lab him more today.
I've noticed some strings in this game don't come out as consistently as other MK's, it's like some you have to input faster while others a little slower for them to come out consistently. It's weird.
I would like that as well . Don't know why they bother putting moves in the game that will end up not being playable competitiveKusari Slam is good, maybe include them in Wu Shi Legend?
How many characters did you try this against? I'm always getting caught off guard by who 1,2 does and doesn't hitSorry if this is known but I'm just looking for a quick answer.
I hit my opponent with D1, then press 12 and they block the 1 and can duck the 2??? I thought I knew how this game worked but I guess not. Is this just a thing?
It just happened to me online against Johnny. I haven't tested it against the whole cast or anything. How many characters did you try this against? I'm always getting caught off guard by who 1,2 does and doesn't hit
Johnny has a super small hurtbox when he's crouch blocking, pretty much the size of a female's since he's so low and leaning backwards. Reo made a video about it, but long story short the crouch blocking hurtboxes are super jank.It just happened to me online against Johnny. I haven't tested it against the whole cast or anything.
I'm trying to pick up Liu. What are the whiffing issues everyone is talking about?
To add to @Mathysan post, the second hit of 12 will whiff on crouch blocking characters with a small hitbox (i.e. females and Johnny cage)I'm trying to pick up Liu. What are the whiffing issues everyone is talking about?
Also if Johnny high blocks f4 then crouch blocks the second hit of the string whiffs for a full combo. To add to @Mathysan post, the second hit of 12 will whiff on crouch blocking characters with a small hitbox (i.e. females and Johnny cage)
They need to fix hitbox issues across the board its annoying as shitAlso if Johnny high blocks f4 then crouch blocks the second hit of the string whiffs for a full combo.
Anyone have any clarification on the klassic kicks brutality? I've tried a few different timings on the input. It says input on hit and doesnt say what hit
Cassie does seem like a tough one. It's ok once you get in because of her slow pokes, but hurtbox issues can make you lose your turns if you don't play it right. 12 whiffs on all crouch blocking females and Ive had b1 whiff on her on wakeup. Her b3 is hard to deal with as an AA or whiff punish tool. Sonya feels rough for the same reasons.I think Cassie dictates the mu vs him. She out footsies him ,negates his wakeups, better mids
Same issue against erron black. Also they can both duck his b1 on wakeupAlso if Johnny high blocks f4 then crouch blocks the second hit of the string whiffs for a full combo.
her low pokes are irrelevant (also her D4 is underrated). She can back walk and because Liu is stubby she don't care. Also, she counter pokes with b2 and F4Cassie does seem like a tough one. I've only encountered the b1 whiffing issue when I attempt to meaty with it. Try knocking down someone like Erron black, set him to neutral duck, and b1 when he wakes up. Should go right over himI keep coming back to Liu Kang, I guess its meant to be, but I frequently see other players in Twitch chats talking about his b1 whiffing. Can someone elaborate further on that? I went into training mode and set every character to duck/crouch block and executed a B1. It doesn't whiff on any character. You have to be right next to them for it not to whiff, because it obviously does not have the range of F4.
Anyway, are people saying there is a whiffing issue because they are too far away or what? I don't get it.
