List of Locations for UMK3 and other MK Arcade Machines

BustaUppa

Westbury Nathan's 4 Life
How many UMK3 machines do you think are still out there? I was wondering how feasible it would be to compile a list of all known UMK3 arcade machines, so people could try to drum up some local competition. In 1995 that would have been a daunting task, but by now the number of machines may be small enough that we could attempt to put together some sort of "Official UMK3 Sighting" list. What do you think?

That is actually one of the original ideas for this site. Back way before we started working on it I wanted a google map so people could give us locations and we could plot them out. I have a test map on this site and have attempted to figure out automated ways of letting people add to it but have fallen behind on developing the site.

At this point, the map is the easy part. If anybody knows of any locations, just post them here and as the map develops they'll be added and it will get made public. I'll make a homepage post about it.

This is a fantastic thread. I'll be on the lookout when I'm in town. MK is actually very popular in Utah.

I have heard reports of a machine at a Fun Zone in Long Island. My sister was there recently and she said they had "Mortal Kombat 3." I asked her if Scorpion was in it, she said she thought he was. I will try to confirm this personally and then give the exact coordinates.

I can't imagine where these machines go. I think they just wind up in some guy's basement.

I definetely considered buying the one I posted since I live down the road from it. I know its all the way down here in Central FL, but the guy is willing to sell it for only $500 if there are any takers. Thought I would throw it out there.

I wonder how much it would cost to ship. 360 costs $400, ps3 will cost $600+, this actually seems pretty reasonable.

I'm buying one as soon as I move into my grandmother's house, I'll probably try and get my hands on all the arcade games just to have them.

Maybe some are sent back to midway. I have no idea but some developers make arcades or game stores send their stuff back.

I'm probably amazingly wrong about midway though.

Just got back from taking my kids bowling, daughter bowled a 98 and she's 5  haha

Anyways, the place has a bunch of games and UMK3 rev 1.1 being one of them. It is a modded MK2 cab with the run button a little farther away than it should be, but it's UMK3 nonetheless. The P1 controls are in need of replacements as the buttons work only half the time due to being extremely dusty/dirty. and the sticks are way old.

The place is called Buddy's Bowl in Tooele, Utah.

I will go to the Keansburg Boardwalk sometime soon and see if they have an MK games there. Last time I went they didn't have anything but I think they might store the games in the back of some of the places since I've been there in the absence of a game I knew was there, then it popped up again another time I went, or in another Arcade on the boardwalk itself.

Last time I was there they only have MvC, there were a ton of other types of games but that was the only 2D fighter, a time I went before that the same Arcade had MKII and UMK3, but UMK3's run button was busted on P1 side.
