Are there characters b12 maybe never whiffs on? I'm thinking at least big bodies like FT and goro but it's not impossible that there are more. It's decent for tick throws. It may also be on like the cusp of being hit confirmable. Thoughts?

I just start learning the Temp. Can someone tell me if there is a different in input timing between 112124 on hit and on block? I can get it on block 100% but rarely get it on hit

I can do F23xxhatxxF23 no problem, but im having problems doing exhat combos like 112124xxexhatxxf23 and 112124xxexhatxxf23.
the timing seems way different. any advice?

With any link whether it be 11, f23, or even the 44 2 frame link, it comes like a little after the hat has bounced off of the opponent, and the blue circle around Lao starts to disappear. When you EX it, it comes basically as the hat hits them, no matter what you're linking with

Anyone have the link to that three spin combo that I wanna say DJT did? Could be wrong about who pulled it off but I remember seeing it the other day (if it helps and iirc, it was done in the left corner of the Emperor's Courtyard stage) and I have been searching high and low since to no avail. Would really appreciate it.
 
Can Lao start a combo from a raw dive kick against standing or crouching opponents?

If he does, please list it, even if is as small as it seems, aparently it helps to set up his gameplay better for positioning, threats and so on.
Yes Dive Kick,Graceful Cat,Spin,Jmp 2, Run,Throw 23% Dmg

What do you guys think of Tempest/Buzzsaw vs Hellfire on the beta?

Couple notes I have.

Scorpion can D4 xx flame aura for free vs Tempest. He cannot vs Buzzsaw, due to the forward advancing EX spin.

Hellfire has to make a hard read to teleport punish low hat. If you bait it, you get 44 for 38% meterless. Tempest's projectile can be reacted to easily and punished, due to the long recovery frames on it. This makes it so Hellfire has to go in vs you. This opens up run up grabs, jump 2 being viable(it's not with Tempest because Scorpions can just react and jump 3), etc. You just dictate the neutral with low hat I guess.

Played a long set with a friend who uses Hellfire. Because of these two things mainly, I found more success vs him with Buzzsaw.
 
playing the beta- kung lao still needs significant nerfs, is still by far best in the game

the better connection also helps him and other pressure chars, the online lag made him seem less OP than he has been this whole time

Because it's one of his best enders dmg wise and if the oponent does not delay his wakeup it sets up for a meaty b2

What do you mean it jails post patch if the patch isn't out on the normal game yet? As far as i know its only out on the beta and if you were on the beta you would be playing against another opponent because there is no practice mode in the beta so please explain...
That video is referring to post patch, as in, the patch that took Lao from like +30 to +12, not the beta or XL patch. It isn't possible to jail anything at +7.

Not saying you don't know that, just trying to clear up possible confusion.

Um this video was before the beta and its talking about current mkx not xl or beta....

They just need to shortern the hitbox of his jump hat swipe and slow down the start up the spins to 8-9 frames so he cant punish literally anything.
they already shortened his j2, and 2nd, being able to punish just about everything with spin is kinda part of what makes kung lao, kung lao.
