Maybe Kung Lao is more suited to your gameplay, your opponents don't know the match up as well, or your Jax just aint that good. I was going to agree with you at first because Tempest is ridiculous, but Jax is only slightly weaker character as wellOk so i'm not gonna make a thread about it, but i'm just here to say that the tempest shit needs to stop, that +20 million hat is just ridiculous. The normal version should at least be unsafe. After playing him for 30 minutes i was bodying people that i would rarely beat with Jax, which is unfortunately viable by even just using the b321 string and the orbiting hat lol.
This game man...
Balanced Kenshi seems annoying to fight against.Anyone have tips on the balanced kenshi match up? I fought one today and I barely won. I was relying a lot on teleports which I don't think will work too well in the future. His tele flurry was one of the moves giving me a lot of trouble.
Jax is a great character, but he's not as straightforward or broken as tempest Lao.Maybe Kung Lao is more suited to your gameplay, your opponents don't know the match up as well, or your Jax just aint that good. Why Tempest Lao is broken?Jax is a great character, but he's not as straightforward or broken as tempest Lao.
Im not gonna say hes broken, but it does seem a bit ridiculous that he can do 4 block strings ending with enhanced hat spin because it builds so much damn meter of that 1121 cancel and theres really nothing you can do about it. I dont remember how much chip that equates to, but yeahWhy Tempest Lao is broken?
Hat dance is + 12 on block instead of +27 on block isnt that a nerf?ok, i think we got buffed... b2 hat spin is easier than before or i am seeing things?
its real, im getting it 100% of the time
Te nerf means nothing, 1 still jails.Hat dance is + 12 on block instead of +27 on block isnt that a nerf?
what happened to the image???Sooo, who thinks this is Great Kung Lao? Or just simply an older decendent Kung Lao?
Also, the return of standing 2.
I'm not a Lao only player but I am a stick player and changing was tough as hell. I can give you my layout:Hey fellow brother of the shoalin I need your help.
I've recently bought a razor attic arcade stick so I'm having to relearn muscle memory but the default button layout is very impractical and awkward.
current Button Layout:
1 2 Interact Throw
3 4 Block Flip Stance.
Aka
X Y RB LB
A B RT LT
.........................................................
The reason I'm asking this here is because I main Kung Lao and won't be playing anyone one else other than Kung Lao. I'm a character specialist but I know some of you guys here are more experienced with MK and more experienced using a stick so I humblely ask for your help. Thank you
Thank you for the tips that button layout is pretty solid and I've decided to use it as my custom 2.I'm not a Lao only player but I am a stick player and changing was tough as hell. I can give you my layout:
1 Block 2 Interact
3 Throw 4 Flip Stance
Or
X RT Y RB
A LB B LT
I like to keep block in a good position to keep it pressed while being able to MB everything easily (was the toughest thing to get with other placements) I don't really use interact or flip stance so my main six are all right there. I know a few other people who run this setup or something similar (Just switching the block and throw buttons). Hope it helps!
That's a really interesting button layout haha. I use this:Thank you for the tips that button layout is pretty solid and I've decided to use it as my custom 2.
However my friend showed me an easier set up.
2 3 4 LB
1 RT RB LT
I've been practicing for a while now and this set up feels comfortable. I'm still far from as good as I use a to be but I've gotten some of my basic BNB combos back and I've just developed new muscle memory for run cancel.
Thank you for helping me
I can when I get off work in an hour and a halfanyone wanna play lao mirrors?
Yeah this string is pretty rough to pull off on pad 100% I personally am in the transition phase between controller and fight stick and I'll tell you 112124 is by no exaggeration about 3 times easier on stick and I'm not even used to it yet as I've owned it for less than 48 hours.Does anyone know a good string that's reliable and realtively safe/comboable outside of 112124? I just can't pull if off on pad consistently.
It certainly got fixed. When the patch before CEO dropped KL's EX Telethrow damage was definitely 9% less. But then, a couple days later it returned to it's usual value of ~40%.Can you guys check if EX-Teleport to EX Throw damage got un-nerfed? We tested it in 2 consoles yesterday and this particular nerf was non-existent while all the other ones were.
