d1 slideCan anyone enlighten me on some combos / what to do with j3? When you do a j3, crossup or not, how do you follow up into a combo?
I'm new to fighters, and I watched Chris G and I think he does JI3 - D1, BD3? I have a really hard time with this one - for some reason i never can get the bd3 off after d1.
I noticed that J3 - 1,1 -> whatever works pretty well too but it seems like 1,1 pushes them far away and makes it hard to do any good combo
why is it so hard to slide after d1?d1 slide
BD1~3.why is it so hard to slide after d1?
nvm a solid 10 minutes of practicing and its pretty doable now
LOL WHAT my mind is blown right now thanks dudeBD1~3.
You lost me. Half the cast can jump in on it for free.As we all know, her d2 is gdlk as an AA in most situations.
Hey guys!
Idk if this was talked about or mentioned, but I found some strategies with d2 as an AA and so far, I haven't seen any other KF use it but me.
As we all know, her d2 is gdlk as an AA in most situations. Well, it occurred to me that she recovers pretty quick while the opponent is still in the air high. So I decided to link 4 after d2 and it works well. She can charge up a decent amount of meter and still have time to connect with slide. If you hav enough trait meter, you can use d2, charge up til it's full, connect with slide, go for the u3 loop, and land a reset for45% (which is pretty good for a d2 combo).
And for those who don't know, d2 4 and d2 d4 are different. D4 charges instantly after d2 while 4 charges a few frames after d2. Idk why. So I've been using d2 d4 a lot as my AA

Ok we'll not gdlk. But it's pretty damn good. She can even connect with a slide after some trades. That's pretty gdlk if you ask meYou lost me. Half the cast can jump in on it for free.
What guessing game can she do after a slide that would be in her favor? I'm new to KF.The pressure is also over if they escape too and that means you've lost the chance to go for the 50/50 gamble, which has basically no consequence for her anyway. In a lot of MU the slide being blocked is a neutral guessing game or even a guessing game in her favor. So cheap.

Oh okay, thanks.Since she is only -4 most characters can only check her with a d+1. So if they have a mid d+1 she can beat it with parry. Now they have to respect that option and start doing lows, jump ins or letting it whiff which allows her to backdash or jump out for free.
Serious question: Why is Killer Frost so fun to play as?
Not really sure why this works w/o neg edge on. I just hit db, then forward like it was a separate input the 2. I have it down now to where its literally like two taps of my left thumb {db} {f}I decided to pick up KF, but the input for grab was for some reason hardly ever working. I trained the reset combo for ages, with 22 xx grab mb, but grab was hardly coming out. I tried both control methods, alternate was even harder.
I messed around until I found an input that works 100%!
Perform usual combo, 22 xx DB then press and hold 2 then hit F.
I have negative edge off so not really sure why this works so well. Its almost like it registers the DB2 special and then cancels out of it when you hit F.
Anyone explain it?
Being able to perform grab in combo 100% makes KF so much more fun for me.
I tried 22 xx DBF2 loads and it only came out around 30% of the time. It may be the way my thumb hits the dpad, but my new way works so nethermind. Not really sure why this works w/o neg edge on. I might actually try that I assume that with neg edge on, ice spike comes out?I tried 22 xx DBF2 loads and it only came out around 30% of the time. It may be the way my thumb hits the dpad, but my new way works so nethermind.
Not sure, I don't use neg edge.I might actually try that I assume that with neg edge on, ice spike comes out?
I dont get this - someone else told me to do the same and it just doesnt work out or feel fluid / consistent / smooth. When I'm on left side of screen I can do my BnBs fine. When I am on the right side I can almost never do it. It doesnt have to do with more experience on left side cause in training mode i make sure to split my time evenly.I just hit db, then forward like it was a separate input the 2.
