Your matches online with Jade are good, definitely better than mine XD I hate using her online, she feels so sluggish on reactions. Do you ever njp? You were jip combo'd a lot and were cross up combo'd too. Then when you started jumping, he got you with his own njp combo. After getting beat real badly by a gdlk Jade player on XBL few days ago, I learned a lot about her common weaknesses getting jip combo'd/cross up combo'd. Never have I played a Jade player online that countered my every move with standing 1 AA combo, a 30% njp combo, D1 anti cross up 16% combo and that Ex Purple Glow. Jade is purely amazing in the hands of the right player

The problem I'm having is responding in time/on reaction. I NJP sometimes, but I have difficulty reacting and don't like taking risks against characters like Mileena often. I hate fighting Mileena with Jade tbh(or anybody actually lol). Smoke and CSZ are w/e, but not her. The criticism is welcomed and I'll try working on that. I do some anti-air stuff with Jade offline decently, but converting seems to be a problem for me haha.

KeyWestBoi retired MK for SCV - I heard from another SCV player his Viola is amazing.

Everyone remembers KeyWestBoi's Sindel on XBL, he was the face of Sindel. Everything he did was ahead of its time, literally all of the tech that is posted for Sindel, he basically did it all since the game was released. Levitate-Cancels, mix-ups, pressure strings, AA and anti-cross up defense. Unfortunately at the time no one was offering streams so I don't think any of his matches were recorded at least to my knowledge. I remember last summer around July he dominated a King of the Hill room with a 24 win streak using just Sindel and he was beating online Kung Lao, Raiden, Mileena and counterpicking Smoke players. Last time I played him was September and we had tag matches, I could not take out his Sindel and he literally stomped me using just Sindel without pulling his tag parter Kitana/Sheeva then when he tagged out Sindel to use his other character, I beat his other character but then Sindel steps out again to finish the job -_-* I never seen him lose with Sindel except only 1 player took him out in KOTH. But anyway, I hope one day KeyWestBoi returns to MK with Sindel, the most gdlk Sindel who ever levitated.

Hey. This Saturday i went to this tournament http://testyourmight.com/threads/apr-21-2012-kiev-kup-season-2-kiev-ukraine-kiev-ukraine.15041/ The tournament had 90 entrants. I made 9th. In pools I beat 4 people 2:0, but lost 0:2 to 1 very good Kabal player. This was my first offline encounter with NDC and machinegun. Only thing I have to say is - I need a Kabal player for practice, fast. All theories I put on this forum work, but in a real match they have to be done by reaction and adapted. Then beat some more I don't remember. Then I got sent to losers by a Smoke player, Zee-e, the one that beat me the last time with Scorpion. The match was, well, streamed, so you can see for yourselves if you like. First offline Smoke for me as well. I played Zee-e after the tournament and yesterday for some hours and the matc is not that hard as it seems on stream. Then, in losers bracket I beat another Smoke, the encountered the guy that beat me with Kabal in pools. This time he picked Mileena. We went to the last round of the last match with approx. 10% of life each, he jumped I screwed the Glow input and lost. Man, was I salty... And that was it for me. There are also some more casuals on stream. I'll put it here.

A year later and people know so little about Jade's match-ups, sad. I had the same situation at the tournament I went. I questioned myself why did this guy pick Noob if I picked Jade first? lol

Fucking beautiful. I rush down with Jade a lot and I'm finding that she can do it quite well. You just have apply your pressure, poke appropriately, and know when to WALK back. Her B2 is one of the best anti air moves IMO and the staff slam has great range. NeoRussel= My new Jade crush!

And people are going to tell me Jade is not legit? His rushdown style is so unique I love that he pretty much just uses glow to bully as opposed to a defensive style of use. His corner combos are so cool. I miss playing like that, he has one of my favorite styles for Jade. I might try some of this stuff out it's that fabulous.

I swear I play so lame with Jade and I don't know why lol.

Not at all. Here's a few points.

1. If you go fullscreen against a rushdowner and do want to go in, dare to flash and dash.
1.a. It will put you in jump-in range but that's when you can:
-u3 (if they moved backwards when you moved forwards) or
-b2 (if they stayed put).
1.b. If they do not jump in you can
- b32 d1 into special.
- f21 into special.
The 3/3/3 ending is db2, df4 and df2. You can 25 it with boomerangs but I advise against it from that range unless you trained them that they cannot jump on you and are cowering.
- jip for combo and/or pressure.

2. Do not use b2 as pressure. It will never work if your opponent knows your options. Train them that they can jump and then deny them. Once they are confused whether they can jump or not, start to force them with low boomerangs. They will either start to block low - in which case you can en-low into special pressure and d3, 12, d3, 4, n3 pressure - or they will risk the jump and eat the b2, u3 or 1, 12, 23f2SPEC aa.

3. For defense, d3 d3 d3 is just asking to get jumped on. It's like a panic button for a lot of jade players. Do NOT spam d3. You can d3 dash n3 dash etc, but always stand up with a n4 into special or 12.

Round two in the Ermac stage: The en-rang was a waste of meter. The blockstring was amazing though, you should have stuck to that and then read if you can d3 or should njp instead so you build enough meter and POSSIBLY if you read her breakout properly, could shut her down for another set of blockstrings and another read. I turned matches before from that condition with two good reads but it's a gamble. When you have that little life left, you should only use meter if you know that the rang will get you the round.

And again, db2 and b2 are NOT moves to throw out and hope they walk into. You can do it to scrubs and you can sell it to skilled players once in a lifetime, turn a match with it and then get blown up for match next time you try it. Do NOT whiff those and b1, ever.

CybZero matchup. Okay.

He's free to air at especially if you are farther than sweep and he's jumping up. His divekick is not dangerous if you are in the same height and your punch connects sooner. Just a2a him with a punch and then en-low him into a snared blockstring. Do NOT try to downpoke against him if he's on the offense, his mids are stupid safe, instead jump back out, flash, and read. If he jumps up, a2a him again, you win those most of the time against him. If he stays put, do NOT jump on him but d3 n4 into pressure. This matchup is about denying him his options and dealing chip, parry and en-freeze shut down your jip combos unless you teach him to block.

Your Jade is coming along nicely, I approve. My only comment is to mix up what you do off of a jump in punch, especially given the gap in between back 1 and staff overhead is so big, I noticed a couple people read this and punished it, back 1 seems better for punish than anything in my opinion. I like your interesting style of rushdown and your hollywood combo in one of the matches I forget which one lol. I think this is when I was in the chat room talking with you.

Also, props to performing so well against Kenshi with Jade, good to see Jade players grinding out the match up instead of giving up on it outright a splendid show indeed.

I love the Montreal stream, everyone plays such an awesome variety of characters.

Also, your accent is fabulous.

the only reason I did b1 - overstaff is to test if they respect it. If they do its spam galore time :3. If they punish me I "usually" mix up even though nowhere in the videos it did happen. I like to b1 -- shadow kick to see if they try to punish to staff.

the "hollywood combo" only works when you are mid screen and know the f21 xx shadow kick will put the opponent in the corner:

jip, b1, db2, b2, f21 xx shadow kick, 12, 123 (40%) meterless <3

I'm finding more and more stuff so expects an update from me every week or so

ps: from what I saw last night, Jade vs Kenshi is at least 5-5 in Jade's favor. Take this with a grain of salt, I didnt explore everything jade has to offer and I didnt face the best Kenshi player yet.
