I think I've played 0 Firestorms since release lol. I've looked at him in practice mode. He has bad anti airs so i'd jump a lot. Not sure how the zoning plays out.

1 is slower than f2 so i'm not sure. Obviously f2 has way more range. You can throw 1 out there and cancel it into breath, so you just get 1 on whiff, if you suspect a dash. I do that sometimes.

A lot of the time I just do f2 breath so I only get f2 on whiff. F2 by itself still has a ton of recovery tho.
Well he has fusion charge to check you in the air from jumping honestly, play Gunshow and record them if you can please. I can describe the irritation that he put mr through lol.

Any tips on Harley i hate fighting her ever since inj1. who wins the match supes or harley. Its not that she is all that good its that i rarely play against her so i really dont know the match up at all. Any suggestions you guys have would be much appreciated

Play Aquaman. That mu is 6-4 Harley imo. A good Harley will zone you out and her walk speed is obnoxiously good. Combined with her new trait she can be a handful to say the least. That being said one you get her to corner you can kind of have your way with her. It's a match where you have to play very patient and walk her to the corner. And unless you going to MB F3/B3 her jump ins are too good to AA.

Honestly after MKX this feels refreshing. It's a game more about neutral and patience. Think of you life as currency. Don't worry so much about how many times you get hit, so much as, how close is their back to the wall. That is a bit easier to do against dead shot imo but Harley she's just.....slippery. As childish as it is, that is in fact the only I can describe her. She hard to catch and she is a momentum thief.

So whats the story on the green arrow match up looks like supes might struggle in this match up after watching ceo specifically buffalo and theo againts illusions. This match really feels annoying in my opinion i hope its not another losing match up for superman

I guess I have to see if their is footage of it but I didn't see Theo play illusions at CEO. But either way at full screen I believe superman wins due to the damage he gets. Up close arrow can be annoying but it's the standard guessing game after breath which is mostly in our favor.

Green Arrow doesn't look like a good matchup for Superman imho, it's probably 4-6, maybe 5-5.He has great tools to keep Superman away for most of the match and he's no slouch upclose too.
That said, Theo had no idea about how to play this one, he didn't punish df1 or MB df1 not even once. Superman gets a free b2

There are intricate differences because i2 is obviously different but the recipe for fighting Catwoman is essentially the same. Pick and choose your zoning, mbb3 her jump ins, punish her whiffed b3's HARD


No one has played the cw matchup more than saucy jack did vs 16bit.

Imo he loses to Catwoman and Deadshot for sure.

Aquaman idk. The Superman player definitely has to be way less auto pilot than the Aquaman player. I feel like it could end up being even. Superman definitely doesn't win tho.

Black Adam and Batman I really have no opinion on atm.
I learned from the WW boards that lore isn't the most important thing in an NRS video game but dammit if they are using the license (and that DC Comics license is the only reason my brother and I play) then the expectation that it kind of resemble the lore is VALID.

And in WHAT universe would Superman ever feel stressed by CATWOMAN???????????????? UGH

Does anyone know were i can find the match with theo and sonic fox were theo beat fox 3 to 0 with superman i can't find it anywhere on youtube

Firestorm isn't too bad. You really only have to worry about low blocking his ground freeze special, as you will get caught in some infuriating loops. If FS decides to spam fireballs then just air laser and bait his air special.

Aquaman is winnable for sure. Just watch out for too much air dashing because his b3 and uppercut will usually win. Block low for the most part to avoid low poke starters.

Bats, Darksied, Deadshot, and Black Adam have been the hardest for me. Especially Black Adam. He is so damn fast and hard to read it feels like a 3-7 at times.

Imho Superman beats firestorm due to superior footsies from upclose-mid distance, and due to his ability to answer well to Firestorm fireballs-molten trap from far away. I don't see a section of the screen in which this is a losing matchup.

Against Scarecrow and Robin I just try to zone them out as much as possible mixing db1, db3 and air db1. When upclose Robin doesn't beat Superman anyway imho, our character can contest his strings just fine using f23, and our frames are superior.

Scarecrow is another story, I think Superman loses to him from upclose. He has better range, superior pressure, better mix ups. I just try to keep him away all the time and punish his mistakes when trying to get in: some Scarecrows are not patient enough and end up committing suicide

I think superman might actually beat scarecrow. Scarecrow has better range but all his range moves are super slow on start up so our f23 can control the neutral at the right distance we can zone him and gain alot off meter for when ever he does get in we can just pushblock. our j1 beats out his j2 if there jumping to get in on us. And Best of all scarecrow doesnt really have alot of options to contend with f23breath all he can really do is try to d1 because all of his other nornals are too slow to contend with f23 breath we can really bully scarecrow in this situation. I play against one the top ranked scarecrows on xbox run alot of sets this is just my personal opinion on the match up

GA has one really sneaky mix up to look out for (f2 d1 3 i think). After I got good at reading it the match up kinda falls into place. This match up really has to do with reading your opponent, as he can mix jump/downward and crouch arrows to throw you off. Most players will opt for the low ice arrow if you block their combo too.

This game added a launcher for his meter burn bow spin special, so it's easy to get caught if you're used to punishing that move.

How are you guys dealing with Catwoman? That character is fucking cancer. Like stage 3 you only have 4 months to live but we are gonna shave your head anyway cancer. She just b3 through everything and I swear whiff punishing this harlot is like literally trying to punch a bird.

I played a pretty high level HQ last night, maybe 12 matches and I won most of them. Super close matches, but very winnable. Stay just outside of her j2 range and punish with f23. HQ usually wakes up with cartwheel, so you can bait with an air-dash and punish. Her most dangerous strings start low anyway. If they want to spam guns and mutts you can usually air laser high enough to avoid the dogs AND cupcake bombs.

I honestly never had a lot of trouble with CW in IGAU and I don't run into a lot of players on I2. I learned to time her jump with a forward dash and that usually leaves you in f23 territory to punish. Supes is at home in the air, so it's easy to get caught with her j2. But if she's jumping in with j2 a lot our f23 is fast enough to punish a block. Same with her bf2. It's all about baiting.

The one thing I have noticed in I2 is her mix ups have an extra move that throws me off...I end up getting caught with that last overhead kick. Don't rush too hard and you'll avoid her B3 (unless you get good at reading the animation and you can MBB3 all day)

I don't care what nobody says, Black Adam beats Superman too. He outdamages Superman meterlessly, outdamages Superman with trait meterlessly, outdamages Superman with trait and 1 bar. He just outdamages Superman period. Also Black Adam wins the full screen lame game, Superman is forced to rush down Black Adam. If Black Adam really wants to he can stay full screen and react to lasers and just keep jumping over them, taking 0 damage while his trait builds up. Do some random Black Magic just for fun which is pretty safe at full screen. Then when he gets trait, go in and get your guaranteed 8% chip, then go back to your full-screen lame game that you win. Even up close Adams F1 is the speed and distance as Superman's F2, so with Superman's breath being -1 on block he's at a disadvantage in the mind game after the breath
