i watched a review on it as well.. they gave it like a 1/10 i think lol
Yeah it's not good, but it's not bad either. It's like people have forgotten that not everything is one or the other, there is such a thing as a middle ground.
Here's my short review:
+The characters look cool, each has his or her or it's own unique powers and personality.
+The stages look cool and every once in a while you can get a cool cinematic if you hit the other fighter into a building, ship, volcanic vent, or iceberg.
+Finisher moves are very satisfying to pull off, like head shots in Resident Evil 4.
-Mode wise the game leaves a little to be desired as it's bare bones.
-The soundtrack is meh.
-The stages, while cool, are not plenty. There's really only a handful.
-The fact most of the game is DLC really bogs down what is actually a pretty decent title.
= The game is fun but losses it's joy after 5 minutes of solo play, this game is meant to be played with your friends. Overall the game is not bad but not good either. It's fun but short lived and the way the DLC was handled really hampers down one of the very few movie tie in games that is actually decent. Ironically this games biggest sin is that it isn't good enough to make a review gushing over it but it's not as bad as some people claim either, it's not bad enough to make a long review bashing it because it's so bare bones there isn't much to make fun of. It's easier to do a review of something bad than something that's just okay.
Final score: 3 out of 5.
