Quan Cheese!!!
I really hope it's a teen titans dlc pack with something like beast boy, starfire, Tara, and Red X
I'm pretty sure you get the characters when they release w/ season pass. Not all releasing all at once, lolyeah they have to have 1-2 done by now, you can't create from scratch, play test, and debug four new characters in a cost effective manner in such a short time.
How do you know they have? How do you know?
Didn't say they have. How do you know they have?
All of this is speculation.Like someone else said, we are about 30 days away. There is no changes, no new characters. The game is being mass produced and going through the motions. The problem is people assume that they are releasing all of the DLC on day 1. They can make the season pass available without the characters being ready(A la how Gearbox has been doing it with borderlands 2).
So I may not have undeniable proof, but I have a sure as hell better argument then "They just want money". And I want to also mention: No one is making pay for the fucking characters. So either buy them or shut up.
None of this is directed at you personally btw, just tired of reading BS about DLC.
You mean that the game is gold already? If it isnt they are SERIOUSLY behind, you know long all the mass production and red tape stuff takes?Didn't say they have.

I don't even know what your talking about and how it relates to DLC, lol.You mean that the game is gold already? If it isnt they are SERIOUSLY behind, you know long all the mass production and red tape stuff takes?

See 'Code Freeze" aka no code is added to the game 3 or four months before release. It is probably now in code release aka releasing the game for mass production 3-4 weeks before the game drops.
And yes, they may not follow that schedule, but if they are still adding code and characters then they are screwed(I doubt they are).
...I don't even know what your talking about and how it relates to DLC, lol.
You're missing the goldmine underneath the shitpile, though.Yeah I know, but I'd just much prefer the original and I don't think the fact that he's dead really matters when it comes to DLC. Would probably be more marketable too.
Potentially, I mean lots of people have asked for them I guess...I really hope it's a teen titans dlc pack with something like beast boy, starfire, Tara, and Red X
They did the same thing with MK9, and nobody really complained. It was received really well, and sold really well. So it'll all be good. They could have at least waited until the game had been out for a few weeks before announcing DLC. I guess they're trying to catch people that may not have had their favourite character released yet to keep their interest.
I'll be getting it either way, but I find it a little hypocritical for someone like Hector to take a stab at Capcom practices and then essentially do the same thing. They did the same thing with MK9, and nobody really complained. It's not though. There's a big difference between announcing DLC, around the time the game goes gold(when it's compelete, usually a month before release), and then starting to work on it. Than having it on the disc and selling it a week after the game comes out. Capcom sells stuff that's on the disc, MK's characters weren't on the disc, because they aren't worked on until after the game is done. That's the difference.I'll be getting it either way, but I find it a little hypocritical for someone like Hector to take a stab at Capcom practices and then essentially do the same thing.
Having 14 complete characters locked on the disk and having a promotion to prepay DLC and get it the day it comes out is not the same thing.I'll be getting it either way, but I find it a little hypocritical for someone like Hector to take a stab at Capcom practices and then essentially do the same thing.
Its not the same thing no, but its still an additional payment for content that was finished prior to release and was always planned to be.Having 14 complete characters locked on the disk and having a promotion to prepay DLC and get it the day it comes out is not the same thing.
It hasn't been finished...Its not the same thing no, but its still an additional payment for content that was finished prior to release and was always planned to be.
The fact that Capcom place it on the disk has no effect on me and they do it this way to save money on server and bandwidth costs. You still have to front up the cash however they do it.
I wouldn't say they are the first ones to do it right(I can think of other games that do DLC well such as Halo etc.), or the only ones either, but other than that I agree. As far as DLC goes NRS has been pretty good about it (so far), making the fighters cheap so anyone can buy them, making the skins free, waiting till months later instead of just a few weeks so the everything has been done and people want something new to breath new life into the game.
You can bitch about how "greedy" they are all you want but as a businies NRS knows the best way to make money is to have a happy costumer cause a happy costumer is a returning costumer which means more $. There are companies out there that have been far worse and don't even care about trying to keep the costumers happy. Capcom charging 20 bucks for a stupid skin each, anyone?
DLC was originally made to make a game have a longer life then it normally would and maybe even throw in stuff that they could finish in time. So far NRS has been the first one the right way.
