Hilarious and ironic that people praise how NRS handles DLC. Did you all forget how they shammed us with Mortal Kombat DLC? It was a fiasco. First, they were so sloppy and amateurish that they completely fucked up the season pass and people were getting the characters for free (Myself included) and then, the icing on the cake. Even though you PAID for DLC you can't even use it online if the asshole you're playing against doesn't have the compatibility pack. I'm aware the compatibility issue was resolved for injustice but don't go praising the way they handle DLC, It's hypocritical and delusional, and reeks of fanboyism, especially all these "new" accounts that aren't even a year old. You new people don't know all the BS we have had to endure from NRS with Mortal Kombat. It's acceptable that some people have become jaded.

And I don't reckon any of the praise toward NRS is related at all to what this post complains about. Their praise is directed at what they consider a fair philosophy in regards expanding the content of the game, whereas these complaints of yours are aimed at technical imperfections. Doesn't really refute anything the people have been praising, and errors like that are easy to forgive as an honest error/oversight compared to what people consider "slimy" business tactics, which is less of an error and more of an ethical disagreement.

I don't really have to argue against you, because you're objectively failing to actually refute what people are saying, instead opting to change the subject, unjustly calling them hypocrites for defending something that hasn't been addressed in these talks at all.

Way to take what I wrote completely out of context. not having an account here before doesn't mean squat, but it is rather interesting that the majority of the puppets brown nosing NRS happen to come from new accounts.

Fiasco? Man...I must have missed that...i've only been going to MK forums for 12 years, but for some reason that just escaped my memory.

Sloppy and amateurish? You realize mistakes happen, bugs/glitches happen. What you just described of people receiving soemthing free, that's a bug/glitch in the system. How do you know this was NRS that even handles how the Season Pass works, and how it is downloaded etc.? Secondly, I have seen "messups" on several other games, big name games such as Halo 4, where something got messed up and people got stuff for free etc. Shit happens.

Yeah, they had issues scripting it to be able to require compatitbility packs to play online. They learned their lesson. MK9 was their FIRST effort using DLC. There's bound to be some mistakes, and they learned from it.

Hypocritical and delusional? WTF are you talking about?! At no point did we say "it's ok for this person to do this, but when this person does the same thing, it's wrong". That's hypocritical. Nobody said anything of the sort. Delisional? If anybody here is delusional, it's you. You think everything is this big scam. That the big bad company is out to get you. That they want every dime you have. That they will do whatever it takes to make some extra money. That they should be perfect and always have things run smoothly.

Just because my account was created here a couple of months ago, has no baring on how long I have been following MK and going to forums. I have gone to MKO, TMK, TRMK, MKW, MKI, Komidogu, and several others over the years. As I said, I started going to forums in 2001, and an MK forum has been my homepage for the last 9 years. Just because I haven't become this cynical, paranoid, untrusting anti-establishment type of fan you are, doesn't mean I haven't followed the games every year.

The BS you had to go through with NRS and Mortal Kombat? Are you 10 years old? What the hell have they done to make it seem as if they don't value the fans, and care about making a decent product, that is actually worth the value? MKDA-MK:A weren't the best MK games ever in terms of quality, but they sure as hell tried breaking new ground with fighting games, and packed each game with tons of content. They also love to communicate with their fans, and try and deliver to our expectations.

The way you act is as if they WRONGED you. They didn't do a damn thing to you. Things may not always be the way you want, but they have never been a shady company that tries to take advantage of their fans. You just come off as a cynical snob that can't show support for those that create the content, because you are afraid of being a fan, rather than a critic.

And WE'RE the delusional hypocritical ones...yeah ok bud.

Colt are these the only DLC we will be getting? I remember Hector Sanchez or maybe it was Ed Boon saying they were going to go more wild with the DLC than they did with MK9. Anyways i think these will be the characters:

and if they release another:

i think you're almost spot on with this list though PG will be in the top four :-D

Most people who have been part of the mk9 community since the beginning will tell you nrs handle dlc very well aside from the compatibility packs. They should have been mandatory, which they are now so problem solved. Nrs gave a lot of freeby costumes to people who didn't spend an extra dime.

Also the only thing on the mk9 disc was an incomplete skarlet that they had started but didn't finish by the time the game released.

Nrs isn't perfect but they have been active with this community and have implemented a lot of things that their fans and consumers have asked for. That's more than can be said for a lot of companies.

Yeah. Most of the people I know are not prolific comic readers. But the ones who dabble all know and love Watchmen. I understand it is not part of the universe. But I want NRS to sell copies, and I genuinely believe that a single Watchmen among the DLC would bolster sales. Don't get me wrong I want lots of true universe DLC as well...
