I took a look at the controls for some of the characters and noticed that there are Back/Forward and Down/Forward with the same button input (I think for Cyborg and Superman). Does anyone else have problems with Back/Forward registering as Down/Forward on the xbox dpad? I know most of you probably use the PS3 controller or fightstick/pad

Where is the Captain Cold fandom on this board coming from exactly? Is it just an ironic love of quirky C-Listers? Why not put the deceased Captain Boomerang in while your at it?


I've always viewed the guy as kind of a joke no matter how "edgy" they're trying to make him lately.


Oh look, a sleeveless Sub-Zero wannabe in a hoodie who has metahuman ice powers now for no reason. How boring.




Victor Freeze is far better and I hope he's in, especially if they give him a sleek Mike Mignola inspired costume.

Cap. Cold is very underrated and the only reason people like Mr. Freeze is because of the 90's cartoon. Going by the comics alone, Captain Cold has been the superior villain for decades.


Cold is a very deep villain, and if you don't believe me, go read Flash #182 "Absolute Zero" by Geoff Johns. That and "Final Crisis: Rogues’ Revenge".

Owning Freeze ain't a big deal, Batman does it all the time ;)

The classic version of Captain Cold with the freeze gun and the parka is very unlikely to get in anyway.

It would be the new sleeveless hoodie guy with ice powers instead. He might as well be an entirely new character.

That "new guy" is the same guy. In continuity, he went for years with the parka and gun before getting an upgrade.



Can't wait for Cold to be revealed! Hell yeah! :)

Most people like The Rogues because they are what define Flash. There are far more good stories involving them than Freeze. Hell, until the late 90's, Freeze wasn't even used. You can only write the "I'm only being bad to save my wife" so many times before it gets silly. Also, they explained why he's a metahuman now months ago.

Fuck is Static Shock?? -_- they have like 1 black char=cyborg (i think) It would only seem right to add atleast one other black char STACTIC'FUCKIN'SHOCK:D

I'm going to say this once.

They should not be putting characters in to fulfill a quota. This many black characters. This many Batman characters (which they've filled in earnest, mind all of you). This many characters of whatever category. That is the wrong way to go about things. It constrains their choices for characters and story and a host of other items.

Race quotas, don't use them.

Ya he's half n half, miles morales. But he's not the regular earth-616 spider-man. It's in the ultimate universe so it doesn't count

It's not about having "quotas" as you put it.

It's about continuing the Mortal Kombat tradition of having diversity in the cast.

An all white male Justice League with token Wonder Woman is boring in a comic book, because there are not enough unique perspectives.

It's like if all the characters in the game except one were male and people said those complaining wanted a female "quota" when in reality,
ladies kick ass too.

So Reyes as Blue Beetle, Montoya as Question, Choi as Atom, Vixen, and of course Static would be great characters that should be considered.

Says you. Morrison's JLA was the best Justice League in 20+ years and it was a full white male cast with Wonder Woman.

I didn't realize Martian Manhunter was a white guy, being green and all.

And didn't Morrison introduce plastic man and steel and oracle and big barda into the team?

He must have agreed with me that the cast needed more diversity as they added more members past the 7 founders.

Speaking of which, I want plastic man in this game, he is just awesome.

After 20 or so issues they added in Plas and Steel. Barda/Orion were only there for a few months to deal with New Gods shit. And yea, Plas would be great for this. He could be like Dhalsim with his stretchiness but more emphasized on.

Diversity in comics is a very "damned if you do; damned if you don't" situation.


If you leave the League alone, people cry for minority characters to be added.

If you add one or two minority characters, they are deemed things like "token black guy".

If you add a whole bunch at once, people deem it a "forced attempt at diversity".

Both Hawkgirl and Hawkwoman are in continuity at moment, existing in two different universes. While Hakwoman is Caucasian, Hawkgirl is of Latin American descent. If a Hawk gets in, I wouldn't be surprised if Hawkgirl got in over Hawkwoman. Not because of a "quota", but because Hakwoman has briefly appeared in a poorly selling book (Savage Hawkman), while Hawkgirl is a major character in Earth 2 which always breaks in the top 20 every month. Top 20 includes comics from all companies (Marvel, DC, etc.).

I also wouldn't be surprised if Katana got in. Not to fill the Asian slot but because she'll be starring in the new 3D animated series Beware the Batman as Batman's sidekick which premieres around the time Injustice is to be released. She'll also be apart of the new Justice League of America and her own solo book. Both books begin in February.

What he's saying is your gender or race shouldn't be a deciding factor to whether a character is the game. I want a diverse playing (not looking) cast. Static shock would be great.

Wouldn't be a problem if people would stop wanting a diverse looking cast over a diverse playing cast. I'm a redhead. I don't care how many redheads are in the game...
