Injustice Custom DLCs/Mods Thread. First post always updated

...we can make anyone from any costume (they will still use same weapons as default :( ).. and sounds, and voices will be harder.. but can be done too :)

Amazoinian Bug_Me Name Fix for My NPC Character Pack {By UncleFestor}

Well it looks like the renamer changed the base name for Amazonian so here's a fix :

Extract this to your Injustice Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition\DiscContentPCG\DLC\UncleFestor folder & overwrite the existing file.

File size is less than 1Kb

Could someone post instructions on how to do this for the PS3 (non-Ultimate) edition?

Also, if anyone could get me the texture photo for new 52 Nightwing I could probably edit them fairly quickly.

Do what on PS3 ? And what do you mean by Texture photo ? A screen shot ?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. The guide on how to do the texture hacks is for the PC version of Injustice right? I know some people have done the edits for the PS3 version of the game so I was wondering what you have to do differently for that.

Well that's not a texture photo. That's a diff file from an extracted character which is a .dds file. For the PS3 It's a lot harder cause you'll need bms scripts to convert Texture2D to dds and vice versa. And the scripts that were created are no longer there. You can how ever use the PC method to extract the PS3 files {Decompress.exe, Extract.exe, & Umodel.exe work for both PS3 & PC files. }

You can use the following cmd line to export all the Texture2D files of a character into dds : umodel.exe -ps3 -nomesh -noanim -dds -export CharName

where CharName = Name of the Character File you wish to export from. However getting the dds back into a Texture2D then getting that Texture2D back into the Package is a whole different story. Sorry for appearing out of nowhere, but i just want to confirm some stuff about the MODs

- The modder doesn't need to overwrite an old costume, they can create it from scratch and it'll be seen in-game as a "DLC"
- Installaton for most of the "new" mods is basically pasting it on the dlc folder
- Char model, textures, name and bio on the gallery can be modded
- Attack colors /special effects (like gren lantern "armor colors) are hard to mod and seriously, these costumes are already godlike
- Just adding the mods to makes online unplayable unless your opponent has exactly the same mods you have (is that really right? if i try to play online but NOT use the modded costumes it will still crash?)

Just a Thought but in the future it might be a good Idea to NOT release a new Mod with your Old ones as well. All you really need is your New DLC Costume, and your updated .eng & .ini files ;)

1.) Not really. You can't create anything from scratch. You need to clone an existing costume. It'll show up in the Costume List as whatever the Modder names it.

2.) Yes installation is that simple.

3.) Models can NOT be modded, only textures. The Characters Name in the LifeBar should always remain the Default. Only create a name for the costume {This will allow the game to track the stats of that costume as the Main Character just like the normal costumes are tracked.} Yes you can put whatever you want in the Bio's

4.) Most of the attack/special effects colors need to be modded both via Hex and Textures for a more complete mod {This can be tedious for most characters}.

5.) I'm not sure about whether or not just having the DLC Costume in your game would cause it to crash on-line or not. I would think that @ the very least both players have to have the same Revision of the game {Patched}. And from everything I've heard the PC on-line version is faulty anyway, but as long as you don't pick the DLC costume for an on-line fight it shouldn't crash.

OK, i will make that Red Hood skin on Deathstroke (but he will have ponytail, mesh is modeled this way so, maybe some Red Hood from future :) ) (Nightwing costume maybe fits better) :) .Im no pro artist, so it will be not any miracle but i will try, now i just started so for now im working only on hood :)

There is so many version of this costume, so i'will try make that with brown jacket etc.

Also Zoom DLC version released! Remade Zoom using the Regime Flash as base. I will make the Zoom (Regular Flash as base) as DLC once coalesced.ini modding is possible.

Well I could probably clone his Costume 01 as a NEW DLC Character now, but you would need to have Cheat Engine in order to play as him. I'll need to test if I could add 'invisible' cells to the PS Screen. I've already looked into doing a Roster Mod, and the problem is that the Drop Down List for costumes is NOT scrollable. It's locked @ a certain amount of costumes. So, any extra costumes that go beyond the amount allowed in the list do NOT show up. They're still selectable, But you just can't see the name of the costume. The same goes for the DLC Character slots. The DLC Slots are locked @ 6 so you'll never be able to see more than what's already there. That doesn't mean we can't add more, but the problem would be how to select the new characters. Aside from using Cheat Engine to do so, the only other thing I can think of is an app that can be used as a Launcher for the game.Hopefully there is a way around this. I didn't see anything in the Coalesced that would allow expansion of either the PS screen nor the Arena Select screen. But maybe we can hack the exe to remove the lock. I'll look into that this week..

EDIT : Right now I'm mapping out my King Neptune Mod's TweakVars to change some stuff but, I'll take a look @ the exe sometime during the week.

unclefestor: I played classic battles mode on hard difficulty and i encountered Lobo (but it was NPC Joker Thug.. whole match he didnt done any damage he just walked, same with Lexo Suit), its some possibility fix that? I really like the NPC's but they dont fight (AI probably think that it still Lobo? ) :(

Hmm, I'll need to look into that.Seeing how Joker Thugs is Lobo_J , Alphabetically it's way down the costume List. Maybe they removed the 2 costume limit that was in MKKE {Which is actually a good thing} I'll have to look for a universal ban List. If there isn't one then the only other thing I can think of is to redo them as a New DLC Character with Costumes for each NPC, but you would need Cheat Engine to play as them. Well I might have one other option I need to change some stuff in Hex and see if the AI uses it or not. I'll take a look @ it now


EDIT : Well I took an initial look into the issue. And it looks like the Coalesced.ini has a predefined List of what Packages to load/use for each Character/Costume This doesn't affect our DLC Costumes. However the NPC's are a different story. They also have a PackageList. In the List is what .mko script to use {This contains all the needed info for the Character including the Moveset} These packages are defined in the PCG-DCFEditor.ini I tried making one in My DLC Folder But the Game doesn't seem to load it. So unless I can Unpack the Coalesced to add the needed entries I don't see a way of having the NPC's playable with the AI.

I'll need to look into some other options but it might end up that I either need to disable them in the "Ladder" or leave as-is.

Yeah same screen i have too :).. but his hood(helmet) is very distinctive like on this screens.. so im not sure which version choose :/
