The thing is though all of these strings you shouldn't be constantly doing stuff like 3,3 or back 1, 3. It isn't true at all that Blue Beetle has no safe way to remove gaps.
You have shield bash which is -4 on block with pushback that closes all those gaps. You can even close the gap in 1,1,1 (this is a punisher type of string anyway so it's not like you should be using it a lot on block anyway).
He has a safe overhead in Back 2, shield bash. His sweep is also a safe low option. He has safe low damage 50/50's or if you wanna get bigger damage you take a risk. I don't have a problem with people thinking he's bad, but the reasons listed aren't things that he has to do or worry about.
Forward 2 is a great advancing mid that can be made safe. 3 is 9 frames, back 1 is 10 frames and neutral on block (with restand properties, a phantom hitbox and great for setting up poke whiff punishes). He has great cross up mixes with his jump normals, jump 3 is great for pressure an can guarantee a throw or down 1 that beats 8 frame reversals. His zoning is very solid and gets the job done, he builds meter like it's going out of style and has two bar combos for 50%. He ALWAYS has meter because he builds it abusing safe chip specials up close and projectiles afar. His stagger game with 1 and back 1 is applicable to with good conditioning into throws or more pressure.
I don't understand how these are the issues of concern. Blue Beetle wouldn't be over powered if he got buffs, but the issues being listed are issues that are very much non-issues.
