Can anyone think of a reason why we would use the string 113 over F213? I had been trying to pressure with 113 for the first few hours online, was really struggling F213 was a game changer.

I don't see this anywhere, so I'll post it:

Staff d2~4, insert Escrima combo of choice.

Basically, after a staff d2 connects and you 2-in-1 to trait, you get a free ground combo.

Staff has a lot of frame advantage, so you can throw this in for frame traps and get 40% combos off of it.

awesome. is it me? or you can't d2~4 in a combo. For example in staff mode I do: j2, d2~4 but it doesn't switch to the escrimas fast enough, they probably did that to limit combos??

Was online this morning and my 1,1,3 kept getting blown up online by some real measly superman string. Im gonna try going into f2,1,3 from now on.

Here is the Gurrry combo, completely original, never done before (kappa):

F2,1,3 xx EX Df2, B3, J2, 1,1,3 xx Df2. Toughly 22 hits, 36%. One meter.

good stuff i've been practicing it. You can also do.

F2,1,3 xx EX df2, (here's where it differs), F3, J3, jDb1

it gives the same amount of damage, although i can't really tell exactly how much meter both of them fill, i think it's almost the same. Although your combo isn't hard execution wise by any means, mine is brain dead easy, but it leaves you i think at a disadvantage of movement compared to the end of your combo b/c of the jDb1.

edit: thanks to Zero Kyori i started messing around a bit and you can also finish the last part of the combo switching to staff and Db3 so....

F2,1,3 xx EX Df2, B3, J2, 2,2~4, Db3

its kinda tough to pull off because when you start hitting them with 2,2 the character has to be pretty high up to give you time to staff switch. It's more swag than anything and i guess if you want to change to staff it allows you to do that as well.
 
This is the highest I've got with just the Escrimas, he seems like a low damage character, unless I'm just dumb. His rushdown seems amazing though.

That's all I got so far, check percentages because they're hard to read on my TV, plus check for more optimal things then what I got.

The flip kick tends to crossup, so make sure you know your positioning before throwing out b3.

Not to my knowledge. Also keep in mind, landing Super puts you in Staff, Clash puts you in Escrima.
