Question If Kabal was nerfed, do you think the game would be less scrubby?

Reo the more you make threads abouts kabal; the more people will hate kabal players and the game. Its not about kabal....its more about REO kabal that is broken because you take kabal to the highest level. Maybe if you stop using kabal it will make the tournament less scrubby.There's no other kabal like yours, so what's the point. People just hate on kabal because you the only one that makes him look retarded.

I actually haven't made a thread on Kabal for a LONG time. And you have to remember I'm not the only Kabal player out there doing work. Remember all the majors Michaelangelo won? All the high placings Erik Warda got? Detroit winning Anaheim with Kabal. When Cat beat CDjr 3-0 with Kabal, everyone was saying how that match-up is really bad for Kung lao, etc. The list goes on.

You also can't forget about people like DoctrineDark and Mordrek who pretty much innovated the way Kabal is played today.

I think there should be one more patch to fix a couple things like big combo resets and change kabals f4. Stuff like that. Fix kanos knife toss to be faster again, armor on sindel, mileena, sektor etc

Also my Kenshi is terribly overrated. I couldn't even beat GGA 16 Bit's Kitana with Kenshi, and that is seen as an 8-2 match-up. I haven't touched him since.

Oh, I didn't realize that. 16Bit is also a badass though. Like those other pesky character specialists, he is capable of working his way around her adverse matchups against many players (Pig posed an interesting thought like that on one of the MLG streams about character specialists capable of working around the usual meta in Japan).

I'm not trying to be stubborn or anything, but I bet if you got a little more mu experience with your Kenshi against his Kitana, you could do better against him. These mu charts are examples of what it would be like if the highest level Kenshi fought the highest level Kitana, if I'm not mistaken. The variables are changed when pitting non-Kenshi mains against the highest leveled Kitana (if he's not the highest level Kit, then he's very close.)

And if not Kenshi, then maybe a different character like your Cage, lol. (although your Kenshi guide was still awesome.) I could also see you running a beastly Sektor as well. I won't have made a name for myself until NEC, so my word does not have much weight or jurisdiction at this point, but you easily make my top 5 list of players out of this community.

i will say that they should've just kept smoke's OTG combos and without the resets, rax would still have 1 bar 60 percent combos, so he'd still be a beast char with all the tools he posseses.

Exactly, so you're no less of a Kenshi for losing to 16Bit's Kitana, imho. By extension, I'd say that you could still pull off using a character other than Kabal if you wanted to. Not that I'd recommend it since dat Kabal is...well, dat Kabal. XD Just know that not all of us think you're a scrub for using him.

this isn't one of them.

We've clearly gotten to the point where... if you don't have to take huge risks... you can usually win by simply doing the safe thing. The only reason some matches are hype... is because our top players have the stones to take a risk.

If every character had more than one hole (compared to others, some have zero)... then risks would have to be taken and create a more "hype" atmosphere. Just watch Big D vs Jr. ... or any low tier vs a high tier. There is always that "he could make one huge risk and win" moment.

Why is Scorpion so fun to watch? Exactly.

Half trolling half serious. The Smoke MU numbers are hella downplayed. Like Cage is not 3-7 and likely not even a bad MU at all. I've never understood that one.

LETS BE SERIOUS HERE kabal is actually a pretty balanced character now n days compared to some chars in MK, after getting my ass handed to me by reo 3-1 in casuals u cant help but respect a kabal played at the highest level, ONLY A TRUE MASTER can overcome the struggles that REO has encountered through his time using kabal. People only complained about kabal because they didnt know how to deal with his pressure game
