I'm pretty happy about this. The MK9 female designs were basically all stripper outfits. And don't even get me started on that BS fleshpit costume.

This. Can't tell you how many times my girlfriend has had friends over while I was playing mk9 and when I offered to let them play the response was, "yeah I would but all of the female characters look like strippers and porn stars. I wanna play a bad ass warrior chick, not a pole dancer."

Games are getting a little bit better at being more inclusive for women.

If Ferra/Torr in MKX is counted as a "female" character I think we can say "she" looks real good up to this point right now.

And yet my wife and some female friends of mine LIKED playing them because they were sexy and strong. Its interesting that the fact the Mk women hold their own against the men and are just as brutal is ignored just based on appearance .

Ok. I am really liking Cassie Cage, but I kind of want to play top tier in MKX if possible. Let's break down the top 5 characters in the 2 most recent NRS games.

MK9
Kabal, Kenshi, Cyrax, Sonya, Freddy (or Kung Lao depending on who you talk to)

Injustice
MMH, Aquaman, Zod, Sinestro, Batgirl (or flash, or some people might have other male characters in the top 5 discussion, but Batgirl is the only female to be in the discussion.

So both games had only 1 female in the top 5. Also both MK9 and Injustice had 2 male characters that were also considered in the broke tier or S+ tier.

Why are there not many females in the top 5 for NRS games? Why has there never been a broke tier female character? Is it just a simple matter of math? Since there are less female characters there is less of a chance of making top 5. Or are the male characters actually better. Can someone from the sisterhood maybe come in here and assuage my anxiety. Or if you like girls are you just doomed to be mid-low tier?
