You can do f1 into db2 after the helping hand to maximize damage.
I think he's MK1's version of MK9 Kabal. He's definitely good but requires execution to see his full potential and only a few can do that and I'm okay with it. Havik is fineI’m loving this character, I’m having a blast. How long until we get those nerfs and what will they be? Real talk. I don’t give a fuck about ex neck snap stuff (which is awesome). I’m just sayin…it’s not my first nrs game. I mained 24hr super buffed cutthroat kano back in mkx.
I think you are the only one rocking sektor
Same. I do not enjoy this "new" Havik. Instead of being an unorthodox character, he's just an ungabunga mixup heavy character. All the normals are still crappy and buggy af (b2 still getting stuffed, f4 inconsistent af in combos, second hit of 22 still have a hitbox smaller than Bi Han's patience, and s4 still does jack shit).tbh i dont like what they did to havik at all. this feels like a different character concept. combo routes and mixups are completely changed, db2 is omnipresent in his gameplan while other tools become situational at best and the execution barrier goes through the roof thanks to the EN neck snap "Buff". on the other hand bf2 is still high, as if that was somehow necessary. the only things that were asked for were the better armor and better air options thanks to air db4

Nothing he does takes high execution. All the good havik's are already hitting everything consistently. Bad players dropping his combos is not relevant to his balance
I agree.Nothing he does takes high execution. All the good havik's are already hitting everything consistently. Bad players dropping his combos is not relevant to his balance
Nope. I disagree and hope NRS continues on this path. This "Bad players" dropping combos wasn't the point of execution.Nothing he does takes high execution. All the good havik's are already hitting everything consistently. Bad players dropping his combos is not relevant to his balance
The character does fine in neutral. B2, d4 and sweep are all fantastic buttons. roll shuts down most zoners, he's got good projectiles, good staggers and plus frames. The character never has to spend bar so he can just save it for the TOD. He also has plenty of ways to guarantee the neck snap with his good teams. Even without the resets the character pukes damage off every hit. The character is wild right now.Nope. I disagree and hope NRS continues on this path. This "Bad players" dropping combos wasn't the point of execution.
"Nothing he do does takes high execution"
In fact the whole pretence of Havik never being a difficult character is also lunacy.
He's still slow and sluggish in the frame department which allows him to get steam rolled by any character who dominates neutral. This is why he wasn't picked or played abundantly prior to the latest expansion patch. News flash buddy he still has the same weaknesses thus, he is in fact high execution.
Not only do you have to execute neutral but make your hits count by burning every resource to TOD to which can be avoided by certain Kameos.
I just can't wait till the hysteria to dissolve about the character. Character is top tier ONLY if the player is godly. Because be real he gets steamed by the top 5 really bad and hard countered by Kameo selections.
There are indeed high execution things he does.Nothing he does takes high execution. All the good havik's are already hitting everything consistently. Bad players dropping his combos is not relevant to his balance
I've literally never played havik seriously and I'm able to hit this combo after like 20 minutes of practice. His execution is really not that hard. And finding a hard bnb on a character's 5th best team isn't really relevant to a character's balance. There are indeed high execution things he does.
Specifically he has one of the hardest if not the hardest bnb in the game: variation with kano.
B(b+kameo)22xxdb1EX,dash 2,2xxbf1,micro dash f1xxbf1,block+b2(quancheezey extended range tech)xxnew low scoop,j24xxdb4(new air kick) 46%
The thing is mavado and the new buffs made the execution elements of havik a bit obsoleet,as you bypass them.
Point was, before easy mode extensions of db2 and new air string, if you wanted a full structure combo you had to do this for optimals.I've literally never played havik seriously and I'm able to hit this combo after like 20 minutes of practice. His execution is really not that hard. And finding a hard bnb on a character's 5th best team isn't really relevant to a character's balance.
He didn't regulate a damn thing especially since he doesn't play him seriously. His input is invalid and holds no weight.I deliberately summoned Baconlord here to regulate the downplay.
You don't need to main a character to recognize how good they are. I know the matchup and regularly train with one of the best Havik's in the world. And it doesn't take a havik expert to understand that guaranteed TODs are not balanced just because you have to learn a combo with reversed inputs. He didn't regulate a damn thing especially since he doesn't play him seriously. What was downplayed?

Wait your rude? Wtf lmaoGet 'im, pa!
I remember when we used to play. But you're Hollywood now and I had to change my name to Vulgar from Rude.

Not by much from 503 to 508You can do f1 into db2 after the helping hand to maximize damage.
