I think people need to stop freaking out until the game comes out. Since most modes are online only, the day one patch might change alot of stuff

Raiden's Superman cancels are all -15 or higher but he's super far out after so they might be worthwhile. Cost 1 def bar tho.

I don't understand what they were thinking with these punishable cancels that cost defensive meter, why would anyone use these? As for Kabal's, I just don't see these being viable, the risk-reward is not at all balanced (minor plus frames at the cost of losing your breaker and the ones with half-decent adv on block are single hits so they can't be hit confirmed), not to mention the preset with NDC seems pretty atrocious with no combo or reset potential and subpar zoning at best (instant air and ground buzzsaws really weren't very good in the beta).

Does anyone know if cancels that leave you at like +9 or more on hit will link into normals like in MKX? Might make the raping cancels have received a bit less egregious.

You cannot. Command grabs generally work though.


Any word on the frames for SZ's deep freeze, death-cicle barrage, and his ice-wall projectile (I forget the name)?
Deep freeze is -14 ob
icicles are +9 oh, -17 ob upclose, -11 max range. +5 on hit upclose, +10 max range. They go till halfsreen or so. 36f startup.

Ice wall:
-8 ob pointblank, 2 characters away 0 ob, +8-10 ob once it turns into a ball which around max slide distance, +16 ob fullscreen.
36f startup, knockdown on hit. Looks like it should combo to slide from far away but it doesnt.

air axe is -8 upclose if you do it instant, -10 if you're absolute point blank, instant from max range is +3 ob.
on hit it's +16 and +21 from max range but can't combo to anything, game doesn't allow it.

Wow, the on block frames actually aren't that bad--way better than what we saw in previous builds. Only real issue is the super slow startup.

I can sadly confirm that player 2 cannot use the costumes on the account, basically if you want 2p to be swagged out too you'd have to unlock the stuff again on the other account that they'll log in with..

Same nonsense as injustice 2. I really don't understand but whatever at least you can put on the abilities as they're all unlocked.

You cannot. The game has an anti-linking thing after cancels where even if you're +11 you can't combo into your 7f normal or into specials. You basically get a free check or mixup there but no combo.
Same deal with a lot of air specials.

I had a feeling this would be the case, I would have noticed linking move after NDC in the beta but I hoped it had changed. Thanks for the confirmation, guess they don't want cancels to be half as good as they were in the past two titles.

That's too bad about the player 2 yeah.

Looks like Frost's variation looks are not too varied I guess, and looks like they did get rid of her bald head look, that's a shame.

She still looks cool.
 
Can I ask how Frost's Glaciar Calving ability works/looks? Is it a shield that moves/stays in place etc?
I know the beta was the same, but some of the move descriptions are vague as hell unless you see them in action.

D’Vorah’s Mother Bug ability says that it modifies the Resurrect ability. Does that mean that she has resurrect in every variation?!?)
