Does anyone know the frames on his best strings into the canceled ani-projectile stance? Sonic seems to be getting a fair bit of mileage out of it.

The in-game frame data calculator does not display data on the scud shot cancels for some reason. From my personal testing, b+2,2,2 appears to be -6 on block when canceled so Erron Black's own d+1 (6F start up) could punish but not d+3 (7F start up). More testing is needed, though.

Im having trouble launching off his 21212, I can do it like 3/10 times. I did what others said above, but I think I do it either too late or too early. Damn.
Perform the entire string and tap b,f+4 before or during the third hit. The window is rather lenient. I find b+2,2,2 xx scud shot cancel to be much more difficult.
 
Question: I mained Erron in MKX and had no trouble with the 21221 string(I think that was the input, but you get the idea), but for the life of me I cannot get the 21212 string to come out with him in this game. The only way I can semi-consistently get it to come out is to slide my thumb across the buttons as fast as possible but even that is inconsistent. Any tips you guys might have would be very appreciated.
 
You are right. f+3,2 is the best option after 2,1,2,1,2. I still think 1,1,4 is good too.

I also noticed the slighter better frames on the canceled d,d+3, but I was not entirely certain so I did not want to spread any misinformation.

Speaking of d,d+3, you can do b+2,2,2 xx d,d+3, d+1 xx fatal blow mid screen. LOL.

Can the second hit of b+2,u+4 be flawless blocked? I can flawless block f+3,2.

The acid puddle seems to be the best round closer at the moment and 2,1,2,1,2 has to be one of the best jab strings. The full screen 10 frame fatal blow is amazing. I agree that he is looking solid.

By the way, we need a shorter name for 2,1,2,1,2. Typing the numbers takes too long. LOL.
Idk if you've played the patch yet but there was a hot fix that buffed erron so I'll just explain what happened and post some bnbs aswell , the patch made it so he pulls out his rifle much quicker and also u2 is quicker meaning you can actually combo off of normal strings like f3 or f2 , also since it's faster you can also do 21212 bf4 d3 f32 slide which does more damage than the normal u2 , and now since he pulls his rifle quicker its better to zone and his shots dont scale as much as before , so he can do up to 15% with 5 shots , but in return his prone shot doesnt do 19% damage when exed so overall he got better minus the slight damage nerf he got midscreen which he can substitute with d3 for higher damage like before

@ienjoywinning , d+4 had minor frame reduction on hit (from +19 to +16).

f+2,1 is no longer special cancelable.

b+2,2,2 is now -15 on block (up from -9), but you can combo from b+2,2 and b+2,2,2 with b,f+4, 2.

You can combo from b+2,u+4 with b,f+4, 1.

All projectiles from b,f+4 do less damage and chip damage, but there is less scaling on 1.

I like the changes. pre-patch I was forced to learn the 21212 cancel but now I can user other stuff to launch aswell. But Im super sad they took out f+2,1 cancel and the swaggy corner combo with the b2 u4 222 ender.

21212 into bf4 makes me want to castrate myself. Pretty sure B222 scud shot makes it safe (or definitely better than -15) and f32/b2u4 scud shot seems to be about -1 on block.

played around with the TNT variation, seems like this is his shit preset (everyone has at least one lol, Kabal has 2), command throw is decent but it switches sides so it doesn't really allow for wall carry or corner pressure, TNT is too slow for any sort of setups, and being able to cancel slide and boot drop for a bar of defensive meter is pretty garbage.

I've tried it seriously 50 times and I haven't gotten it 1 time. What a fucking joke. I can do Jacqui's f22 though. I can do every string in every NRS game ever, but this new EB string is fucking stupid. I'm fucking pissed because I want to play Erron, but I won't if I can't do this string. Great job by whoever designed this character.

I've found that if you don't input 21212 very cleanly (ie: you press 1 or 2 after the final 2) it's basically impossible to cancel into a special. On the plus side this character is great, probably the only character, of the ones I wanted to use, that has a preset that doesn't feel like a randomly cobbled together mess.

just mashing 21212 is pretty easy but damn canceling into rifle is pretty tough. i thought nrs games are supposed to have easy execution?

Seriously why is 21212 so hard to input on a controller? Is the move so good that it had to have super strict input?
If your on a PS4 controller or a fight pad of some kind.. i just run my thumb back and forth twice real fast (not lifting from the controller). seemed to be pretty consistent even with only like 5min of practice.

I haven't tried an cancels but I think this would still work.
