yeah this is probably correct. To get rid of the misconception, no.
You get the same amount of advantage no matter where you hit it.
You simply lose more advantage the higher up you are because its lost while you land, where as when you hit it deeper you get to withdraw from that advantage bank immediately.
If j.3 gives you +13, no matter where you hit it you get +13. Its just a matter of if you're spending 5 frames landing or just 2.
I need to catch up on my TYM inside jokes. lolPeople not getting that goomba made a joke is hilarious
Not necessarily because the variable block stun DOES exist for a few moves, so to confuse the two would lead to some misconceptions.yeah this is probably correct.
But really it's a tomato tomahto situation. The deeper you land a jump 3, the more adv you will have.
Yes for the lazy people like us, we'd like someone to provide.link to slips vs king?
Techinically you are wrong. The BLOCKSTUN is the same, however the ADVANTAGE does change. Not necessarily because the variable block stun DOES exist for a few moves, so to confuse the two would lead to some misconceptions.
But that's splitting hairs, honestly yeah you could intermingle the two and for the most part you wouldn't be completely wrong.
I am sorry, but you are clueless. Did you even watch yesterday's matches? Max crushed Slips's wake ups.Deathstroke might be high-midtier, mid tier at the lowest. As the incomplete meta game evolves knockdowns become more important and Deathstroke might have the best wakeups in the game.
In your matches versus King, you always hit j.3 fairly high. This is not entirely correct. Depends on how deep j3 connects.
Blockstun is the amount of ADVANTAGE you have on block.Techinically you are wrong. The BLOCKSTUN is the same, however the ADVANTAGE does change.
Also +1 to Goomba for excellent troll.
Bane... BANE.... BANEHHH!!! ARMOR!! Does armor make sense? Multi-armor?? Bane's oki is the best in the game bar none. When Bane knocks you down, he's the wakeup nazi: "No WAKEUPS for you!!"I am sorry, but you are clueless. Did you even watch yesterday's matches? Max crushed Slips's wake ups.
No, blockstun is how many frames the opponent can't move after blocking a move.Blockstun is the amount of ADVANTAGE you have on block.
So no, advantage doesn't change, a -3 on block is the same no matter where you hit it.
It just matters if you hit it low enough to where you aren't -3 and then also an additional -8 because of falling, and are instead just like regular -3.
You still have the same advantage, that doesn't change. How your advantage is used is a different story.
Max has "flash parry" tech he made specifically for DS, him or someone else made it but I'm pretty sure its him.I am sorry, but you are clueless. Did you even watch yesterday's matches? Max crushed Slips's wake ups.
Please do some research.Bane... BANE.... BANEHHH!!! ARMOR!! Does armor make sense? Multi-armor?? Bane's oki is the best in the game bar none. When Bane knocks you down, he's the wakeup nazi: "No WAKEUPS for you!!"
i actually think scorpion is a better answer than deathstrokeSlips made the right choice by going back to Deathstroke. He's viable. Nothing super great, but he's definitely very good in the sense that he's well-rounded and does almost everything well. You're never out of options in any situation, unlike Scorpion.
Not when it comes to jumping moves, since you have a universal time when you can move again, being upon landing. No, blockstun is how many frames the opponent can't move after blocking a move.
Advantage is how many frames you can act before they can.
Fucking fucking FUCKING cross-up f3s make me so goddamn angry...Umm. He is a master at corner damage and pressure. You do NOT want to be in the corner against Deathstroke.
the landing frames are part of the recovery so you have less advantageNot when it comes to jumping moves, since you have a universal time when you can move again, being upon landing.
Blockstun also doesn't change, so as it ends up you have the same advantage but how its used is different.
If you hit it lower, your opponent has the same blockstun and you have the same advantage, but you get to use more of it while the opponent is locked down.
If you hit it higher, your opponent has the same blockstun and you have the same advantage, only you spent about 12 frames of it landing from your jump.
Since in the air, you can't take any other action (barring air cancels like smokebomb and air missile) after attacking, which is what you defined "advantage" as.
Can you test any of this? Not when it comes to jumping moves, since you have a universal time when you can move again, being upon landing.

Point taken.the landing frames are part of the recovery so you have less advantage
In order:Can you test any of this?
How do you know?
Can you show video of this being accurate?
Who are you?
Who. The Fuck. Is Doombawkz?
Again I ask:Not necessarily because I CAN take action while mid-air. I still have the same advantage of +36, but me using it to land and me using it to club your head in with a TV screen don't make it any more/less than 36 frames.
In order:
Yes
Because its not hard to test frame data
Probably if it mattered enough for me to make a video. Also I probably already have one.
A guy from Florida?
See above.
This was the very first thing I mentioned from the very first DS thread that I made when the DS trailer first came out.Does anyone else notice that Deathstroke's neutral pose is EXACTLY like Sektor's?
I'M BATMANAgain I ask:
WHO. ARE. YOU??!!?
