To get rid of the misconception, no.
You get the same amount of advantage no matter where you hit it.
You simply lose more advantage the higher up you are because its lost while you land, where as when you hit it deeper you get to withdraw from that advantage bank immediately.

If j.3 gives you +13, no matter where you hit it you get +13. Its just a matter of if you're spending 5 frames landing or just 2.
yeah this is probably correct.

But really it's a tomato tomahto situation. The deeper you land a jump 3, the more adv you will have.

Not necessarily because the variable block stun DOES exist for a few moves, so to confuse the two would lead to some misconceptions.

But that's splitting hairs, honestly yeah you could intermingle the two and for the most part you wouldn't be completely wrong.

Techinically you are wrong. The BLOCKSTUN is the same, however the ADVANTAGE does change.

Also +1 to Goomba for excellent troll.

Deathstroke might be high-midtier, mid tier at the lowest. As the incomplete meta game evolves knockdowns become more important and Deathstroke might have the best wakeups in the game.
I am sorry, but you are clueless. Did you even watch yesterday's matches? Max crushed Slips's wake ups.

This is not entirely correct. Depends on how deep j3 connects.
In your matches versus King, you always hit j.3 fairly high.

Blockstun is the amount of ADVANTAGE you have on block.
So no, advantage doesn't change, a -3 on block is the same no matter where you hit it.
It just matters if you hit it low enough to where you aren't -3 and then also an additional -8 because of falling, and are instead just like regular -3.

You still have the same advantage, that doesn't change. How your advantage is used is a different story.

Bane... BANE.... BANEHHH!!! ARMOR!! Does armor make sense? Multi-armor?? Bane's oki is the best in the game bar none. When Bane knocks you down, he's the wakeup nazi: "No WAKEUPS for you!!"

No, blockstun is how many frames the opponent can't move after blocking a move.

Advantage is how many frames you can act before they can.

Max has "flash parry" tech he made specifically for DS, him or someone else made it but I'm pretty sure its him.
So he has MU specific tech that lets him get around it.

Please do some research.

Everybody can crush Deathstroke's wake up attacks with a well-timed MB b+3.

Also, Wonder Woman can do d+3 which makes sword spin whiff. She then gets a full combo.

Slips made the right choice by going back to Deathstroke. He's viable. Nothing super great, but he's definitely very good in the sense that he's well-rounded and does almost everything well. You're never out of options in any situation, unlike Scorpion.
i actually think scorpion is a better answer than deathstroke

No, blockstun is how many frames the opponent can't move after blocking a move.

Advantage is how many frames you can act before they can.
Not when it comes to jumping moves, since you have a universal time when you can move again, being upon landing.
Blockstun also doesn't change, so as it ends up you have the same advantage but how its used is different.

If you hit it lower, your opponent has the same blockstun and you have the same advantage, but you get to use more of it while the opponent is locked down.
If you hit it higher, your opponent has the same blockstun and you have the same advantage, only you spent about 12 frames of it landing from your jump.

Since in the air, you can't take any other action (barring air cancels like smokebomb and air missile) after attacking, which is what you defined "advantage" as.

If I hit you with Bane's j.2 at the beginning of his jump, you're in stagger for 36 frames.
If I hit you with Bane's j.2 at the end of his jump, you're in stagger for 36 frames.

If you block Bane's j.2 at the beginning of his jump, I'm -7 on block.
If you block Bane's j.2 at the end of his jump, I'm -7 on block.

The only difference is I use up 25 of my 36 frames landing at the beginning, and only 4 of them at the end. I still get the +36 on hit regardless of where, or when, I hit you with j.2. So, advantage doesn't change, advantage usage does.

the landing frames are part of the recovery so you have less advantage

Can you test any of this?
How do you know?
Can you show video of this being accurate?

In order:
Yes
Because its not hard to test frame data
Probably if it mattered enough for me to make a video. Also I probably already have one.

A guy from Florida?

See above.

Not necessarily because I CAN take action while mid-air. I still have the same advantage of +36, but me using it to land and me using it to club your head in with a TV screen don't make it any more/less than 36 frames.
