Does anyone know how fast Cyborg's nj2 is? You can still follow it up with 11, 12, 3, etc. I've gone back to using bounce cancels for punishes as it's pretty easy to maintain meter with him. It seems to be the only way to really do meaningful midscreen damage with him.

I'm kind of confused with your question, or at least its relation to combos.
I tend to hit 380 damage with cyborg midscreen.
Corner, Cyborg can do more.

All I'm trying to figure out is why he can still dash cancel b2? lol his doesn't have a real overhead and there is really no reason to not block low and just react to f3. I get the whole dash cancel into grab but since his dash is slow af, i don't see where they were going with that dash cancels in general on Borg. Like i was testing his dash cancels and b123 xx nova blast is -6 at the most. For whatever reason b321 was more - despite the being more + frames and cancel adv.

Rather than bitch all the time, I figured I might as well be somewhat helpful.

For anyone having trouble with the Darkseid MU.

Key notes:

• Avoid jumping. Cyborg's walk speed is great. Just walk Darkseid to the corner
• If you get hit by an Omega Beam, DON'T tech roll.
• IAFB is not as effective as Omega beam catches everything in the air.
• Cyborg's Fireball does more damage than Omega Beam.
• D2 is booty against teleport J3. Either Block, Walk back then try and trip guard (I like to use B3 as I get advantage if blocked but F22 is a good option too), or walk under.

After a ducked Omega Beam you have a few options
Offensive

• Continue walking forward
• Toss out trait. I prefer the drone over roomba because it can loop around if Darkseid teleports.
• Check him with fireball.

Dashing and Target Acquired can be caught by beam

Defensive

• Wait and whiff punish any advancing strings
• Scout out the teleport and walk under it for trip guarding any whiffed jump normals

Beware that if the Darkseid catches onto you walking under all the time that they can immediately do air stomp and catch you.

• Darkseid's wake ups aren't that great from what I noticed. Forward throw loops are pretty effective.
• Don't back air tech after MB3 > J2. Darkseid's following string can catch you and reset the combo all over again.

General Cyborg stuff

• If B1 trades you can get a D1 for a true combo
• Drone trait randomly glitches out if it goes offscreen and can become invisible while looping around. (MK9 Reptile type shit)

Yeah man, in injusticee 1 I used to do 112 into a dash forward, briefly walk back then do jump in 1. It was ambiguous if timed correctly. I tried doing it against my training partner and he just rolled out...I was like

Updated version of OS

You can add an extra 2 in the b123 string and it will cover some weird instances where tech roll results in them staying the corner. Then if the j3 hits you'll get a F22. It is a lot of button presses but it covers pretty much each situation

So in total it would look like
113xDFU, j3 (input b1 in the air) b1b2(2)31
Into however you want to end it.

Not exactly a game changer for cyborg but it's something neat

May as well post his old ass gh set ups since nothing changed. I had a set up in igau where j3 hit on both sides and they had to tech roll to escape. Will post soon.

Not sure people know this, but you can do Techno Tackle as a tick throw off of a bunch of stuff! Obviously, the opponent needs to be stand blocking for this to work.

I actually wanted to post a video on it but yep, Cyborg has the same tick throws from injustice 1:

d1 techno tackle
b2 techno tackle
12 techno tackle
11 techon tackle

The best one in my opinion is d1 techno tackle. If you opponent counterpokes they will get tagged for good damage. I also tend to throw out d1 into bounce cancel (the overhead) to catch people counterpoking as well, and if they read it revert to this.

After playing the game for a few days, I can't hit IAFB consistently either. I used to be able to do ten in row from the right side easy but I can't anymore. Even the input in my practice mode show's I'm doing it correctly but it still won't come out at times.

Anyone having the same issue? I have to do them consistently in a match, and I feel so handicapped without them

Also, another issue I'm having is with NRS buffer input system. For example, if I notice my opponent stand blocking 112 , I want to change it up with 11 techno tackle. However, the input system reads it as 1XXdiagonal nova blast. It's really annoying

I think they nerfed his IAFB. I have to check, but I feel like Cyborg recovers a little slower than he did in the first game.
Even if it's not that, there is definitely a bigger hole for the enemy to walk forward between IAFB shots.

I noticed this happen when I dashed forward into batman with trait out, the trait bat completely whiffed. It's pretty weird when it happens lol

It's really jarring to see that. Throws me off too and makes me rethink at what spaces I should be throwing the fireball

Havent tested it out nor have I played cyborg in the first game but does df2 dash cancel into 1 jail or the dash cancel positive or neither?

Hey guys, i played Cyborg in the first injustice and tag was KHAOTIC_xWULFx I use to post on here a lot and was grinding with Cyborg and it looks like you guys been hitting the lab hard with him, guess i better start doing that too the beautiful struggle with Cyborg. I just got the game today late i know but I would love to see what you guys came up with please keep posting great tech i would love it, great to see that im not the "only" Cyborg player anymore !

I would say necessary for Injustice 1, but not so much for Injustice 2! Thanks to air downward fireball
