Wish that were true. As if the thousands of tweets, youtube videos, and Twitch live complaints weren't enough. The prior to release embargo was a success in hiding this unnacceptable online from the public until initial sales of MKX and premium were over with, mission accomplished. 90% of MKX players have since forfeited there efforts of rightfully so, complaining about this disgrace of an online fighting game experience, another mission completed. NRS/WB knew the online input lag/connectivity issues would occur long before release, as it's being run on the exact same servers that corrupted MK9 and INJ. Might even be worse now due to the faction stats taking account of even all offline players in real time, as if they were online. They also knew the general consensus and feedback would be bad. But what's done is done, or how's the saying go... A deal's a deal.
Their job is done, best MK sales to date. Spending money on quality servers will not sell many more copies as the reviews have already been written and all MK fans have already made their purchase. Spending money on marketing and Offline tourneys to keep the game looking good to thousands of new viewers who will soon find out the hard way is where their efforts now lay.
MK9 and INJ were exactly the same, and never improved. They are veterans off this process, and have it down to a science. How to sell a broken product, and do it well. I do admire their cunning, and marketing powerhouse tactics though. Laughing all the way to the bank.
