So a bit of anti air searching brought my attention to B1.

Its pretty good if the opponent is jumping from a distance.

It also combos into:
(mb)BF2,
Pain Chain,
BF3(with the right height),
and DF1

even though d2 is a more reliable anti air, you can grab nice damage off of B1~mbBF2

a simple combo.... B1~mbBF2, Power Chain(38%/43%); Health Chain(43%/48%); Defense Chain(34%/39%)

oooh you can also b1 antiair into bib(background interaction bounce) :D
got like 51% using a power buffed power chain at the end

B1~bib, B1~ mbBF2, chain of your choice

Even tough Brady said "No" when someone asked does Grundy finish his poem, i find that hard to believe im betting its an Easter Egg, Maybe Tom doesn't even know about i dont have the game yet but im betting their is a way to finish

Tips against aquaman? I have so much trouble getting past his spikes and spears.... When i get close to use an armor command grab he just uses an armored f3..and his low starter fucks up his armor wtfff

Cancel the throw against Aquaman and blow him up with full combo.
His stuff has hella recovery.

if you combo into mbSwamp Hands, you can use "The Funk"(grave rot) and use your trait grab right after if fast enough

and i just found that you can also do BF2 in time before the opponent recovers if fast enough

I am having trouble getting ex Swamp Hands during a combo 100% of the time. I end up hitting them with normal SH instead. Any advice?

also, any advice on constistently landing F1, 3, 4 after all this? I find sometimes after the ex SH, he will do F1, 3, then delay, then whiff his trait grab.

and finally, which moves of grundy's have Super armor?

1, Double tap your MB button.

2, Hit 4 right after hitting 3.

3, Walking Corpse (B,F+3) MB cleaver spin (D.B+1), MB B+3/F+3, MB Swamp Hands (D,B+2)


I found out that after doing a 112~MB Swamp hands, you can use grave rot and then link a B+3. 1 meter 53-55% combo with it. (112~MB Swamp hands, grave rot, B+3, Ji3, 11~trait throw (Health) 53-55%. Thanks to Charlie Murphy for finding the combo without the grave rot!

1,Walking corpse=dash up and either:
a, trait throw
b, WCC (Walking corpse cancel)
c, normal throw
d, high/low mix up
f,don't press anything.

1a, After every chain grab variant (Health, chip, damage) you can dash up and block to be safe against wake up.
Damage 1 and 2=WCC (Walking Corpse Cancel) or Walking corpse, or dash up and trait throw/normal throw. On damage 1, you can jump 2, or react with AA
Health 1 and 2=WCC or Walking Corpse, dash up and trait throw/normal throw or react with AA, or high low
Chip 1= WCC, or dash up and trait throw/normal throw or react with AA
Chip 2= dash and WCC, or two dashes and a trait throw/normal throw, high low, or react with AA

2, He has several good AA tools. If you see a sudden jump and you can't D+2 it, use his anti air grab. If you are facing a dive kick happy player, you can air to air AA with 1 (push 1 earlier than usually, since its active frames are crazy), or NJ.2 (Kinda like the game dive kick. c:). You can also use MB B+3/f+3, and MB Cleaver spin.


3, Best air to air against any jump in is 1. Any dive kick deterrent is NJ.2

Yeah I doubt that.


The rest of the poem isn't exactly "inspirational" because it talks about him getting sick and dying.

This char really suffers from slow frames and people who have good jump away games. Especially when they time your Walking corpse move and jump right before you can react to cancel it.

I almost always MB walking corpse on hit now. the hard knockdown is almost a must.... since you can tech roll the normal version and get right back at full screen. :(

d1 into WC is VERY GOOD if you stay outside other's d1 range.

a good mixup with this is if you do 112 on block.... link MB CLeaver spin. Its advantage on block and combo's into 11 trait midscreen and 1b2 trait in the corner.

    • To The Grave at 5 frames, may not grant much damage but it will make them respect jumping in on it

    • Use Walking Courpse Cancel

  • Why bitch about kanoclone but not but zombiesuperman?
    • Grundy can't zone, and he's being overlooked by the deathstroke hating wagon, give it a lil bit and tears are going to start falling
  • Zoners?
    • Close the gap, use walks, dashes, and WCC while blocking
    • Use Swamp Hands, and MB Swamp Hands
    • WCC is your best tool
keep them coming, once we got a lot of questions and answers i can organize this nicer

Im a grundy main ...ever since I seen him slam around green lantern in the battle arena I new he was my guy...im having issues with him cus hes so slow but I still like his swag and walking corps its fucking tits ...so whats your best option when getting heavily pressured? And best anti air options?... d2? Also walking corps is a great tool for getting in but still having issues with it and how to approach run away and zone kinda fighters. RESPECT TO ALL GRUNDY MAINS ..lets bury the rest of the cast;)

Why do people say Deathstroke is broken but are perfectly fine with a grappler who's armor incarnate, can't be clashed and does huge damage

To the Grave is the best AA so far at 5f. Although it won't grant a whole lot of damage, it will make them respect jumping in on you. Heck you could probably even do Walking Corpse Cancel into To the Grave to put the fear of the Grey in them.

Options for pressure-Push block, MB D+3/F+3, MB swamp hands, WCC (Walking Corpse Cancel)

Anti air options- D+2 if you see it before they throw a move out, other wise To the grave (Anti air throw)

Approaching zoners-walk forward and dash, as well as using swamp hands to keep them honest.

Ill have to go with to the grave. Very consistent. D2 for more damage doe. Walking corpse if u can get the distance and canceling correct you can full punish zoners with 112 * exdb2....

Good AA, haven't seen it anywhere yet:
D2, 2(standing), MBSH, combo of choice.
I got 38% doing b3, ji3/2, 11, health chain.
Decent damage for an AA
Drawback is you need to practice timing depending on where they are in the air, this is working best vs crossups and near jump ins. Far jumpinsthe 2 doesnt connect, so better go with 11 trait grab
