Guide Black Adam Combo Thread

Been working hard to find more ways to abuse B1, this is the best I've found for the corner:

(B1 or B2) xx T, 2 2 B1, J3, Close Boot Stomp, 1 1 xx Black Magic, B2 3, U1+3 - 51% meterless

These work midscreen:

B2 xx T, 2 2 B1, J3, Far Boot Stomp - 37% meterless
B2 xx T. 2 2 xx Lightning Cage[MB], B3, J3, Close/Far Boot Stomp - 50% 1bar
B2 xx T, 2 2 xx Lightning Cage[MB], B3, J3, B2 3, U1+3 - 55% 1bar

Boot Stomp ender is preferred I think, because it gives you free oki.

well I found a lot of combos I don't know how many of them are covered in the thread, but i cudn't get higher than 59% without any interactables, I will see if I can make a video for my combos.

With trait active-j3,DF3, 1, 1, DB1, super=61%

Without Trait Active-
j3, df3, 1, 1, db1 (MB), T, b2, 3, 1&3=49% 1 meter
J1, 2, 2, xx, T, 1, 1, xx, db3(MB), b3, j2, b2, 3, 1&3=51% 1 meter

Seeing if I can add more to that combo you posted:

JI2, 22, 4, 22 xx DB3 MB, B3, JI3, B23, 11 xx DF1 MB = 58%

It's possible to get the same damage for only 1 meter. But it's extremely hard:

j2, 11 xx trait, b2 xx Lightning Cage MB, b3, fj3, far Dive Kick, b23,u1+3 = 58% midscreen for 1 bar.

The second combo here is 59% for 2 meter and it's easier (I can land it semi consistently). But the first one is very tough. I'm unable to re-create it and it's really bugging me lol. b2,3 after dive kick seems impossible so I don't even know how I did that.

It's all about how/when you jump after b3 + how soon you hit j3 + how much you delay the dive kick. There's a bunch of things you need to time and you can't be off by much which makes it highly inconsistent. Still, it's possible so with more practice hopefully I will eventually find the magic timing to make it work.

Good question. We need more developed AA and F3/B3 combos. D2 is a bad starter because it doesn't let you use Black Magic or B3/F3 to extend in any meaningful way, due to juggle scaling. If they're grounded (don't use D2 if they're grounded) or close to you, you can do these:

(AA) D2, B2 3, U1+3 - 19%
(AA) D2 xx T, B2 3, U1+3 - 26%
(AA) D2 xx T, J2, Far Boot Stomp, B2 3, U1+3 - 35%

If they're high up or above you, you have a little more freedom:

(AA) D2, 2 2 B1, B2 3, U1+3 - 21%
(AA) D2 xx T, J3, Far Boot Stomp, B2 3, U1+3 - 37%
Maybe possible: (AA) D2 xx T, 2 2 B1, J2/3, Far Boot Stomp, B2 3, U1+3 - ??%

The last one is difficult to the point of being impractical so I didn't mess with it too much, but it seemed possible. I couldn't add more than 3-4% with meter, and it cost 2 bars, not worth it.

From raw F3:

F3, 2 2 B1, J3, Far Boot Stomp - 29% + oki
F3, 2 2 B1, B2 3, U1 - 27% + spacing
F3, 2 2 B1 xx T, B2 3, U1+3 - 35% w/trait
F3, B2 xx T, 2 2 xx Lightning Cage [MB], B2 3, U1+3 - 45% 1 bar
F3, B2 xx T, 22 xx Lightning Cage [MB], J1, Far Boot Stomp - 42% 1 bar, best oki option

Off a d2 I find it more consistent, easier, and more damaging to follow with b1 (knee).
D2, B21 xx Lightning Hands 15%
D2, B2 xx Black Magic, dash, B23 U1+3 21%

I also have a difficult and mostly useless f3 combo that is space dependent.
F3, Instant Foot Dive (opponent must bounce behind you), 112 xx Lightning Hands 30%
F3, Instant Foot Dive (opponent must bounce behind you), 113 xx Lightning Bomb 26%
I prefer to hold up forward and delay footdive a bit so that they it hits right.

Can anyone explain how you cancel into using your trait? Trying to learn some black adam combo's and it's really bugging me.

Also with B.1 xx black magic, J.2, B.2, 3, 1,1 xx lightning storm. Obviously it's a relatively easy combo, I just can't seem to get the timing down on the 1,1 after doing the b.2, 3. Anyone got any pointers? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

You just press trait after you input the normal as you would with a special. That's his up, 1+3 ender off of B2, 3 ---> B2, 3, U 1+3

Just wondering if you guys had any advice on timing a combo after a b.2, 3, for example adding 1, 1 xx Lightning Storm after it, because im struggling with the timing of it, my apologizes in advance if its already been covered but I can't see it anywhere.

There's no trick really, it's just a quick link (2-3 frames). I find it tends to be a little later than what it "looks" like. Just go into training mode and grind it out, press 1 1 and if only a single 1 comes out, it means you did it too early. If both come out and it whiffs, you did it too late.

Thanks man. yeh I've been in practice mode as if I live in that place, haven't really played online matches yet due to just figuring out characters a little more, and plus I heard online wasn't so good.
