Well, Sinsestro does have a move that holds you in place temporarily like a sub zero freeze or cyrax net, which should buy time for his drone charge time. Also, that combo he does right before superman does his super should be enough as it looks like a full screen untechable knockdown. Sinestro has crazy potential, although the user was not so creative.

He's pretty obviously a zoner, he doesnt' really need the footspeed.
I think they're playing with infinite meter cuz we've seen ex-specials into supers a lot before.
That combo was definitely illegal, unless we're supposed to believe his super and two hits gained him two bars of meter. Then again, Hawkgirl used her super like 5 seconds into the fight, so its clear there was some cheating going on.
It does that combo costs 6 bars to do.
I had suspicions before that these fights are done with unlimited meter (that's why no HUD), just for showcase... he did his super after he won that clash
they been breaking the rules since the first video with how many exs and wall bounces they been throwing out, but this is first time they've ever had a purely fictional combo I think. Harley did something similar in her video, but it seemed way closer to legit than these.
