Greetings, Mortal
Hmm....still didn't see much. Looks like he still has his 113 string and uppercut (animates differently tho). That flying german suplex looked like it could've been his super? And it looks like he's got a ground pound; maybe that's his trait or something he can do while venomed.

The ground pound is just the super activation.

Venm uppercut? When?

Im also hoping the drop kick means the return of F2D3 and isnt a part of his super but it has a weird hit effect so I dunno

I thought that's what that was at the beginning; looked like an actual Shoryuken lol. If not that, is it his clash?

And if the sequence starting with the ground pound is his super, then I wonder wtf that Haggar suplex was? Maybe an air grab.

I assumed all of that stuff was part of his super because of the camera angles. Stomp > uppercut > tiger knee > meteor suplex

I also just realized that the drop kick is his clash win animation

I love him he looks AMAZING. Nice seeing some legacy strings in there and some new moves! All we need is the BACKBREAKER. Also this may not be a popular thing but I would also like a maskless Bane like in my avatar as a gear option and of course the classic Bane mask.

It's all so very confusing.
Sigh. Like I said in the Scarecrow post, SO many bad-ass characters in this game its going to be so hard to make a decision.. Bane is on my list as a potential though, he looks fucking incredible in the video and Im a sucker for a grappler.

I am digging the seemingly heavy luchador influence in this version of Bane. I am hoping he has more command grabs than in Injustice 1. Not enough was shown to take care of the hype boner, but I will not complain about a little teasing.

The only thing Im not digging right now is the pre super pose, I dont like him lifting his leg up like a dog taking a piss, it should just be what it is now but no leg and just do the stomp after

Daddy's home. Bane is looking pretty hype so far but I need my back breaker. Also if he has any amateur wrestling moves/animations I will wet myself.

Thoughts after the Bane showcase:

Most of his stuff is back. It looks like a lot of the hurdles we had to overcome in the first game are going to be lessened. He is super fast across the screen with dashes and walk speed. The same gameplan will apply with getting in with Venom, and using grabs to maximize opponent downtime while the de-buff is active. The rage charge looked to come out faster too. There is now an overhead elbow drop that can be linked to his down 1, which will be really good for mix-up pressure, but I'm assuming the elbow drop will be unsafe.

Did anyone notice if the double punch special move was on the movelist? I didn't see it. if it isn't in the game there goes a hug part of our advancing pressure.

I'm pretty disappointed with the way they're portrayal of Bane is this time around. They're really playing up him as a wrestler, which goes against the depth and awesomeness of Bane. They classic body press is now some suplex looking throw. The other throws looks very WWE style. I noticed the classic body press and back snap when they changed his armor, so I'm hoping you can opt for that animation rather than the WWE junk. His victory pose is junk IMO too.

Idk, the gameplan from him looks solid and upgraded from IGAU, but I'm having a hard time getting around the heavy emphasis on wrestling moves and moving away from the classic back-breaking.

It looks like the elbow thingy replaced the double punch. It also seems like its slower and Im almost 100% sure its unsafe (no more yolo armoring). Not digging the new command grab but overall, the character looks, sounds and acts much better than in IGAU which is enough for me.

BTW, NRS give me the Knightfall costume <3

Functionally he looks the same, but holy shit that debuff? Did anyone count how long it lasts? It looked like it was twice as long, with more severe slowing and dmg received. Which has me worried, since his debuff being too severe is largely what made him trash tier when Inj1 first released.

Can confirm this. The input for Mercenary's Elbow has replaced double punch (bf2).

I'm overall very happy with Bane. He looks like he'll play SO similar to IGAU which is great, and has some new things thrown in. Cancelling out of 112 looks interesting.

I'm also gutted about the loss of back breaker, as it is so iconic to Bane, and I don't see myself using ability mode much (if at all). But as that's my only complaint, it's not too bad at all

I was thinking that. Well, if there's no double punch then a large part of Bane's game is gone. That special had armor, hit overhead, and was forward advancing. Seems his general move speed has made up for losing it if that's the case. Going to need to use his overhead punch normal a lot more. He def looks functionally better, but I can't wrap my head around why going full on WWE was seen as a good idea.

Well, the debuff we saw was a product of Landsdown going lvl 3 each time. However, it is significant at that level of trait.

Sure, but didn't lvl3 debuff only last 6 seconds before? And I swear, while it made him slow, he seemed a lot slower just now. It looked like the effects of debuff were doubled across the board.

Loved his new moves and animations.

Would have liked his air throw or the running bear grab to be standard, but dude already has a lot.

Bane is not a character I can ever play well, but I just love watching other people play him well.
