bruh when he was asked to pick just one problem he literally said "Hm… It’s very difficult to pick one" which is my point. if you just say something like what most of you guys said about mkx "it's all just 50/50's" bruh no that's not how it works
What that means is: when everything is watered down to one playstyle or set of mechanics, you can't pick a single change that'll insta-fix that. It'd take a variety of changes across multiple areas to fix such a major isssue (which is exactly what they were going for in MKX's last major patch).

that's my point right there. the problem is that it boils down to one play style, rushdown, not literally just knockdown into 50/50. when you say something as bland as "all it is, is knockdown into 50/50" that makes it seem like oh just nerf 50/50's or knockdowns and everything's fine.

In regards to MKX, it wasn't strictly 50/50's that were really the problem. It was the safe 50/50's. 50/50's that led to at least 25%+. Safe 50/50's that could loop back into more 50/50's. 50/50's that even if you guessed right, it still wasn't your turn.

All of that, plus the fact that it was very easy to get in to start your 50/50's. With the run and block button, and zoning not being very good, only a few characters could even keep you out. And even if they kept you out for awhile, getting in one time is all you really needed.

So yeah, nerfing one aspect wouldn't have been enough, they basically would've had to change the entire game from scratch.

the last part was slightly dramatic but overall you get my point. you should never make one bland comment about one mechanic in a game and say that's why it sucks

I never experienced 4 in depth when crouch teching was a thing so I mix the two up. DP isn't super viable because it get blown up by shimmy as well, wakeup jab works all the time when you suspect disrespectful meaties. What other options are there defensively?
backdash and v reversal mainly. Wake up low poke if you suspect a shimmy.

Saddly..just about all used-to-be-fun-competitive games are being watered and will FOREVER be watered down from this point on. this all started probably since probably 2012.

Its all about sales, and all companys really care about is the success of their game(s). You cant blame them, but this new thought process of "We wanna make or continue the series of our game(s) by making the system have an easy(ier) accessiblity, while keeping our core fans happy by keeping in such & such in."...has basically been the death of all those enjoyable fun-competitive games. IMO not a single gaming company has proved to be successful in this. Im a halo fan, but the real fans know Halo 3 was the last good one. everything else was just made for children.

You guys are better than me, because you guys are able to fight through all of the changes you receive and continue to make the best out of your games. If i dont like it...i jus put that ish down lol.

All I know is I really enjoyed watching SF4 at high levels. It was hype and entertaining. Watching SF5 literally puts me to sleep. No clue if it's a good game or not, but it's probably the most boring SF game I've ever watched.
Kinda my take on it as well.

It's gotten better recently, but it started off rough to watch.

I really miss watching SF4, even if I never liked playing it, no other game as as fun to watch as it was.

Halo died with the BxR. Don't talk about 3.

Crouch teching is when you crouch and input a throw, Other games don't let you do it and instead you get a crouching punch(3rd strike) or kick(sf4). If your opponent tries to throw you you'll tech if they don't your button comes out. However sfv let's you throw while crouching so you'll just stand and throw and probably die.

If they let you crouch tech like in 4 you could guard against a shimmy and a throw with one option. It'd be a nice tool vs characters like cammy/Karin.
No way in fuck should crouch teching come back, no one wants that shit back for good reason

every time you guys shit on a game by over simplifying it you're literally not saying anything. the people who just like to hate on the game will agree and those who like the game will disagree. everyone else who knows shit about the game just looks at you like bruh stahp
I couldn't agree with you more. I never called MKX or SFV shit. But when someone says something stupid, I'm going to response with something just as ignorant

No the tech. If you don't know then you don't know. But it was halo 2.
I know what you mean, the double shot, which is why i didnt like h2. Too many glitches and ways to alter the normal ways of how things ought to be done. Which is why h3 was the best. But..the game died over 10 years ago, so it doesnt matter.

But ever since, i saw the downfall of ALL games. Because everone wants to just water everything down to attract all ages and sizes. I was a little bit happy when i heard that the creators of dark souls hasn't given in to such a weak mentality , but dark souls 3....was not the same.
All games are bad smh

No it was canceling a melee animation with a reload then canceling the reload with a gunshot. Instant kill if you headshot them. Could let you stop people from energy sword lunging you. The glitches were why the game had a high skill ceiling though.

Also ds3 wasn't easier than ds1. The community just gets better at playing souls games. They're very formulaic so whichever one you start with seems harder than the rest. Imo.

Why not lol. It's a strong defensive option select that's also super easy to blow people up for abusing. Most people I talk to want more depth on defense and to make people think when applying their offense. Crouch teching is a simple way to do both.

We're all from Earthrealm. If not, cool pic brah.

there's probably some truth to what you say, tho I played Demon Souls somewhere around the middle and it was definitely the hardest

I played it last and thought it was relatively easy but I think everyone's got their own little style so I could see there being variance between players. My point is that the experience of playing a souls game transfers over because they're so similar mechanically. Even the traps/mimics/surprise enemies get very predictable. It's why the souls games imo don't feel cheap, they're super predictable if you're careful and pay attention(and have enough experience).

So, you morons took the time to wander into a forum for a game you don't like, to shit on the game? In a forum section FOR the game?

That's classy! Pathetic too.

First off, Shaka, sfv didn't get Aquaman nerfed. I understand that you're still upset and trying to find an outlet for your angsty baby rage, but really, I'm not sure a whinging little tier whore who played a character that consisted of doing two things until he won by shit design should be insulting anything.

Oh and I know, you didn't insult anything you just posted a video, and probably you mad bro And some other meme-y cop-outy crap, forum-y junk that's lets us know you're just a funny little troll and blah blah. Buuuuttt, shut up. It's actually even more sad if that's the genuine reason you came to a different forum to basically run your mouth about a game others might like.

Honestly, sfv is a shitty game. It has its moments though and it's fun under the right circumstances. Just like Injustice. Just like Tekken. Just like MKx. All of those games have some really stupid, shitty design running wild but they all offer a different experience. I've shit on sfv more than anyone on this site. The difference though is I didn't wander into a different forum with zero context to shit on a game, for what I assume, is misplaced anger that your "I win" button got nerfed with Aquaman.

But hey, those interactables in Inj2 are the height of intelligent design huh?

Grow up, eventually your balls will drop and that squeak in your voice will work itself out. In the mean time I'm gonna pay the panhandler down the street a dollar to give to sit down and give a 5 minute fuck about your various opinions on Injustice or SFV cause I can't be bothered.

I've never seen a shit poster so bad that every thread he touches turns into a toilet.
Whats wrong with tekken? Imo thats the most honest fighting game. Im open to your opinions tho on what you seem to think is shitty design in tekken...

That's not true at all, MKX was very succesful in sales yet it also had great gameplay, and while it is accessible it also had depth behibd it like MK9. On the other hand, SF5 tried to be accessable and it got really low sales because unlike Mk9 and Mkx, it didn't had that much single player content. You can make your game the most accessable there is, but most people would still wanna play fighting games just for fun regardless of tge accessabilty, NRS and WB knew thst from the start, while Capcom learned that the hard way. What's important is the content and character roster, only then accesdability.

In regards to MKX, it wasn't strictly 50/50's that were really the problem. It was the safe 50/50's. 50/50's that led to at least 25%+. Safe 50/50's that could loop back into more 50/50's. 50/50's that even if you guessed right, it still wasn't your turn.

Every fighting game is gonna have that one or two things that would make people say it's not good, I tried to play UMVC3, and it was way too fast to handle, and thst game was also very offensive based. Also you could say for ij2 that the Zoning has no risk involving it. But of course people are gonna say thst Zoning also requires patitent and strategy, but then 50/50's also require strategy because you even if you're on the offense, you also needed to "guess" which way to attack, and not just to "guess" on which way to block on the defense. And MKX has enough Zoning.

Also about the Block Button, I much prefer that over the back to block format, it is way easier to use it to deal with bith Zoning and Rushdown, at least for me, and I know I'm not the only one.

Were som e characters needed to tone down there 50/50's? Yes, but the 50/50's in general couldve been dealt with. Everyone is gonna prefer something, but that doesn't it objectively good ir bad.

Oh that yea, i just looked at it as a glitch. Nah that crap made everything stupid...not a real display of skill, just a glitch that should have never been in there. I like ds games but i just cant get good at them. Lol ill never understand how i can summon someone to help me...and they're a few levels before me, yet stronger than me in everyway. I just.....dont....get....it smh im trash

You can say it was successful...because nrs succeeded in their goal. Which was to water to water game ALLLL the way down so it can have easy accessibility. Adding in the heavy 50/50's (which i believe started in Injustice 1?) , and a run button. Bam, that shit was watered alll the way with those two changes. I put the game down...but im sure all the other childrens enjoyed being able to win alot. Same thing they did with SF5. All games r bad

Aris played and enjoyed SFV when it first released as did a lot of others. Something bad must of happened with season 2.
