When ever I've tried it he always b1's me out of it
It requires Liu Kang to input the b1 frame perfect after the FKmb and if that happens, and your attack is 8 frames, then yes you have to be frame perfect to trade.

i play both characters i usually beat erron black more than i beat lui with erron black in this situation but i think that's just cus my timing is better with liu. there's a lot of times when i input it perfectly but trade

This threads talking specifically about DF flying kick into b1, its gonna be a just frame input for you to get out of that with Erron Black so whatever you said isnt even relevant, why does it matter if anyone can do f44 windmill~buff~windmill or if its hard? You dont get infinited by Liu Kang so cheer up and go practice that just frame!
