Street Fighter V General Discussion

Hmm interesting. I might just have to do that then with all the characters so I can buy DLC.

My new CFN will be "Mashing Snowflake". Thanks! :D

Also if you're Rushdown V2, then I was playing a friend, sorry! Also, I don't think I could I hang with you or most people in here lol.
dude there's only like 1 or 2 legitimately good players that hang out on here so don't worry. We can play lol.

Alrighty then, when the servers come back up we'll play if you're still on lol. The way everybody talks on here I just get the vibe that everybody is soooo much better than me that if I played them I wouldn't learn anything, y'know?

edit: or whenever the servers come back online, idk

you can know a lot about the game and not be able to execute, or you can know very little and just have good intuition. No way to know if someone is good other than playing them. As for not learning much I find playing people that beat your ass and punish you constantly is the easiest way to find the flaws in your game and try to develop without gaining bad habits.

Normalize grab immunity.
until you deliver me the mika tech you will forever and always be blacklisted.
Ight here's the secret tech. When your opponent thinks they should block, you use command grab. When your opponent thinks they should jump, use a normal. If they try to use an invincible reversal, then you block and punish.

I really don't have any tech. I don't really lab things unless it's MU purposes or something I seen. I just learn how to use the character then use my amazing reads and neutral game to get my opponent to the corner. If I played a character like Chun or Birdie I'd be ranked 1 on the leaderboards :eek:

I did that charged HK v trigger cross up and I taunted when you died from the wall. That's some high level stuff.

My one advice is learn how to space cr.HP so it's plus one so you can get that juicy counter hit st.LP. I think it's that at least most online players don't take the time to recognize.

this...... IS GOLD. Diamond here I come. Blocking eh, why didn't I think of that. It's like the mixup within the mixup.

@MylesWright_

I'll be back 3ing
I saw some footage of AiAi using Juris MK fireball release like Chun-Li air legs only it's -6 on block, -2 on block if you use both LK and HK stores with no gap and only +1 if you V-trigger cancel it

I'm writing a stern letter of complaint to Combofiend

Or you could just suck at both like me.

that turn around was quick.
It's not like Juri using all fireball stores to be -2 on a blocked airborne throw bait is bad. Chun-Li being plus for free in the same situation is just broken

It's the complete opposite of NRS dlc. Instead coming and causing problems, they come in and no one cares because the original cast are so much better

well she's probably female, indisputably top 2(imo she's top 1 free), but he IA legs aren't op imo, it's not that anything she has is broken, it's just that she's got every tool you could want plus like 3 more just for fun.
I heard it's possible to combo off instant air leg, but you can't combo off ground leg? Is it hard to link? And when she's plus 3 what am I supposed to do next to be safe and able to punish people pressing buttons

legs on ground are really only useful for comboing into super or getting a confirm you didn't expect. Ex legs can be used for punishes or to keep yourself safe(not like she needs it). The link from air legs isn't that hard if you practice it, nothing in sfv is. As for what to do when you're plus crouch jab is the go to which can lead into frame traps, combos, or tick throws, or even loop back into air legs if your opponent refuses to stop them.

ALL I HAVE IS THE GREEN.
if this is true

https://www.reddit.com/r/StreetFighter/comments/4y3emt/new_rage_quit_penalty/

then that's the worst penalty system Ive ever seen in any fighting game.
Seems like some players experienced that if you are getting matched vs RQtters who do RQ vs you 3 times in a row
YOU as a legit player and the RQtter both will get a 24 hour lockout and 1k LP decrease.

FFS wtf is capcom doing...
They literally can't tell who the ragequitter is when a match gets disconnected. It's pretty dumb how they are handling it.

@YoloRoll1stHit

She can combo off ground legs. I think you have to be very close to do it. Cr. HP~qcf LK, Cr. LP~SBK.
