Common sense is definitely lost. If i was a judge i wouldnt display a blatant abuse of power in a lowly probation case of a public figure. A simle request for an apology would have sufficed.

Simple rule

Respect the judge and only answer when allowed to speak, stand when allowed to stand, and direct your attention to the judge when he/she is speaking. He was turning his head, looking away, ignoring her, etc.

You aren't at home. You aren't at a football game. You are in a courtroom not mandated by you.

If he would have just behaved in an appropriate manner, none of this would have happened. Conduct yourself in an appropriate manner. If he really wanted to celebrate, a handshake would suffice like most do. Most wait until the judge exits. Sorry, but they have more authority over you in the courtroom.

You can't control them either. Your fault for risking causing a scene.

Sad, but true. Always kiss ass to the judge and don't question them.
You never know what type of day they are having, and that's bad for our court system.

He didnt disrespect the judge the people laughing in her courtroom did including her own bailiff.

The judge askedjohnson if he was happy with his his representation he said yes gave his lawyer light pat on the bum. She then reversed her sentence and put him in jail for 30 days.

WTF this was one of dumbest things i have ever seen. The judge says that chad should be happy because he has a good attorney, and when she said that he gives him the old friendly team mate "slap" on the back. Then the idiots behind him started laughing. If anything the judge should have been upset at people in the court room for disrupting the court with their laughter not chad. Chad didn't make them laugh.

Seriously fuck people that abuse power like that. Thats ridiculous and i'm no chad "ochocinco" johnson fan. Cost my patriots a few games with his lack of knowledge of learning the playbook.
