Okay.. Gotcha.. I don't know man.. I think he is the natural counter pick to zoning.. And will be more effective than anyone this far (other than seeing Supes vs Supes, BA vs BA mirrors), but I don't think he is the be all, end all.. His few tricks get him smoked when baited.. And true zoners are usually good at baiting and manipulating opponents to do what they want..Just stick to your guns and trail blaze.. You will be okay..

Bad matchups exist, it's a part of the genre. Deal with it and counterpick or play hella solid and better than the other player.

I know right? Come play grundy and try dealing with superman one of these days, bitching about 1 bad match-up from a character that's been out for less than 24 hours, talk about some bullshit. I mean.. If you look at scorpion as a whole- he is not "S" tier.. He has potential to be very good, but will have his bad MU's.. It's a shame to see a character be utilized in such a way, and sure there will be the Scorpion only standouts.. But now bracket winners are going to look like this:

1st-ABC: Superman/Scorpion
2nd-DEF: Black Adam/Scorpion
3rd-XYZ: Batman/Scorpion

I find it the biggest shame that every tournament is going to have to carry a pocket Scorpion to compete.. And I had expected the community as a whole to get past and rise above the zoning wins out mentality through skill and work, and NOT through a stupid counter pick.

The problem with walking forward is that you can get hit very easily that way. It's a bad look.

Sinestro already had some very rough match-ups. (See KF & Batgirl) Adding another just knocks him down a rung or two.

Oh I concur completely.. Same thing happened with DS on nerf day..I give him credit.. While harsh and yet possible... he is saying that this one character has the potential to neutralize his main/favorite completely.. It is a concern, surely.. he is not saying... I'm done with this character and this game, I lost so I'm taking my ball with me.... I think having a Sim background he will put his time into the MU and be okay... I agree with him that MU's should be uphill battles, but never impossible..

On paper, it looks very rough. Yes, we are trying things out. I am sure people are going to figure some things out, but it's certainly NOT in Sinestro's favor. He can't zone. Has to wait for the TP.

Reacting to the TP is nigh impossible unless you keep MAKING Scorpion do it. But what's stopping them from coming in and mixing you up? Nothing. That low is very very good.

Honestly. Scorpion will COMPLETELY counter any inkling of zoning in this game. At least batgirls thing is punishable.

Both batgirl and scorpion's teleports are easily baited and punishable. I dont see whats the problem here, they will be tough for zoners. But no worse than 4-6 I think.... and I am a Cyborg player lol

Edit: Scorpion does have MB tele and that shit WILL be a big problem lol. Get in free card.

Dont worry about scorp. Watch the meter, let scorp use up all his meter, then bait the normal teleport. Rinse and repeat as necessary. Or just pick up grundy and armor grab his ass. Your choice.

On topic, I sadly haven't seen Scorp yet since my PS3 is refusing to update for some reason, but I feel like Sinestro kind of already needed a secondary to compete vs KF and Batgirl. Just means we'll have to pull out that secondary vs Scorpion as well.
